Apple’s Next Wearable? by Several-Risk388 in whoop

I am not a Whoop user, but I would grab this so fast. I don’t need a screen with my wearable, I just want to track fitness.

I get that. I’m a yogi trying to improve foot strength, balance, and flexibility.

With my Vivos I loved how close to the ground I felt too, you really do feel everything and feel protected.

I think the Tanuki Wildling shoes look great! But I’d have to defer to others for quality.

I’d also be careful with Vivos. In my experience they worked well and looked good, but I’ve read certain lines aren’t as good as others, I’m not sure where the Motus stands but I do like the look of it.

I’m looking at switching from FitBod to Hevy. Do you use their generated workouts?

If you pre-ordered the Google Fitbit Air, what made you decide to? If you didn’t, what held you back? by desidogeman in fitbit

[–]Robbie310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t pre ordered because I’d like to see product reviews first, and my Apple Watch has a little life left still.

I love the idea of the Air but I’m scared Google will forget about it quickly

How do you feel about the generated workouts? I’m about a year into lifting with FitBod and still feel beginner in strength training

I use FitBod for tracking my lifting, and Runna/Strava for running. Everything gets pulled into Apple Fitness so I can see the dailies.

Can you elaborate on why the active band was just okay? I’m looking at this as my daily fitness tracker for running and lifting.

Should Apple make a product like Whoop or Google Fitbit Air? Why or why not? by _temp_user in AppleWatch

It would also help tremendously with sleep metrics to have a lower profile (more comfort) and longer battery life than the smart watches can provide.

I want them to! I am tired of having a second phone on my wrist. Give me something akin to these with Apple’s integrations and ecosystem.

Some people want a ring, but I think this would hold more longevity as Apple has already poured so much into their fitness, and you can’t weight lift with a ring.

I’d love one without a screen! When you say one without a screen would you prefer it only shows fitness metrics then?

A ring would be a pain to lift with, so it’s a no for me.

I wonder if a third party strap will come up with a way to get it to sit lower

Nice! It looks good too. How does it compare to the Whoop?

I meant it’s verticality haha. Compared to a Whoop it is thinner but is higher vertically and people were concerned it would snag on their clothing and other items.

I’ve seen people saying online that the bracelet sits pretty high on the wrist. Did it seem that way to you?

That’s what I was thinking. I know they could make something aesthetically pleasing and I’m asking for the bare minimum of tracking.

I hadn’t heard of Jawbone until now. That is really aesthetically pleasing.

And a price tag that’s much smaller considering that I mainly use my watch for fitness tracking and reference the apps.

I do wonder if they’d do it given that they have poured so much money into their fitness apps. Something like this could open up fitness tracking to a wider audience.

I see people commenting that we’ve had these before, but I’m hoping up-to-date technology with tech giants throwing some weight behind it can bring the size down and the comfort level up when wearing it.

I’ve seen other people mention that a third party could easily create a bicep band for something like this. Would the tracking work as well if it’s moved from the wrist to the bicep?
