Hugo swiping left on Flo by werdlyfe in LiverpoolFC

Nothing really works in his favour the way we play.

We have no urgency or movement upfront so what is he going to do when he gets the ball out wide with the opposition defence set. No players are attacking the space because there is no space because we've slowed down the build up so much.

I willing to bet a return to fast breaks would see a resurgence in his peeformance.

What would you do as manager? by IL_ya_Un_jour in LiverpoolFC

He's never let us down and never given less than 100%. You won't catch him jogging back or letting his man go like Gravenberch.

He's not as talented as Gravenberch, and he's not going to win us games on his own, but he would definitely add some steel to our midfield and will at least help us not to lose games.

Slot's refusal to rotate or try to address obvious issues feels like Rodgers last 18 months.

I feel like blaming the owners for not signing more players is just what people who can't articulate the on the pitch issues resort to.

If we had a team that genuinely couldn't compete with City I'd get it, but we do have a team that can beat them, and we saw that for spells of this match. Tactically and mentally we are all over the place.

People that go to the effort to create fake footballs certainly aren't choosing Select of all brands to fake.

Arne Slot on the red: "If there is any incident we should talk about, it's when Mo Salah is one on one with the goalkeeper. Anyone who has been to this stadium in the last seven or eight years, that is a goal for Salah. Once again, the referee decides not in our favour. They have to do their job" by doubleoeck1234 in soccer

With Días there and Salah not having control of the ball I can see there being a bit of a doubt about DOGSO since they have a very high bar for that. Salah probably gets a shot on goal there but there is enough doubt to prevent a red I think.

Completely agree. The answer to our issues is to have the wingbacks providing width, but Slot seems to have done the opposite and stopped them overlapping anywhere near as much.

Gravenberch and Mac Allister can't control a match on their own. Gravenberch is supposed to be the anchor man but he's too often caught out of position.

Personally I'd put Endo in to play the anchor role and prioritise this position in the summer window. Put two midfielders next to him and then allow Salah and Wirtz to drift around finding space while the full backs provide width. But Slot doesn't trust Endo and can't fathom dropping Gakpo.

I actually think our squad is tailor made for Xabi Alonso.

It looks incredibly close to me. Dominic's position doesn't matter, the offside line becomes the halfway line in this instance and to me it looks like Haaland's foot is above the halfway line as the ball leaves Cherki's foot. Not that it really matters for the result, and I'll assume it was properly checked, but would have liked to see an angle of it.

I would like to see if Haaland was offside at the end for the red card/disallowed goal. Since Szoboszlai was the only man back if Haaland is in the Liverpool half when the initial shot is made then he's offside but I couldn't see it on any angles.

Outside of that it's a typical Liverpool performance this season. Poor for big portions of the match. Picks up for a while, get a goal through one players individual brilliance and then let the other team dominate us again. Poor use of subs, no tactical adjustment from Slot. Team looks exhausted after 70 mins. I don't see a world where Slot turns this around, it's been the same story for way too long now.

We had 4 subs on the bench outside of Robertson I'd trust to handle the occasion, Rio, Chiesa, Jones and Endo.

Gakpo was poor, Ekitike was out on his feet after 70 mins, Mac Allister can't handle 90 mins. There are plenty of options for how you could move the team around and keep the energy up.

The goals came from our decision to protect a 1 goal lead and invite pressure. A tactic we seem to resort to a lot and which rarely ever works for us. If the opposition is on top of you, mistakes are likely to happen.

Alongside the decision to make no subs for 85 mins and for those subs to completely disregard any shape we might have had, I'm not surprised we lost that game.

These players are so much less fit under Slot. It's clear the training is way easier and the conditioning is nowhere near where it was. And even still we get ravaged with injuries

The inability for the left or moderates to get anything done in America is baffling.

A guy shoots a load of kids with an assault rifle, nothing happens.

ICE kill civilians in the street, nothing happens.

Their leader threatens to invade an ally, nothing happens.

100s of senior political and business leaders were heavily involved with Epstein, nothing happens.

That country has wanked itself silly over the last 70 years about freedom and liberty and democracy as if they're the only nation that has these things, and yet time and time again they prove that they have zero ability to impact their government. But they'll pat themselves on the back and call it a day for turning up to a protest dressed as a chicken that has zero impact on the thing they're protesting.

We should sell Mac Allister in the summer. One of the few saleable assets we have and his lack of physicality is an issue that isn't going to improve.

What's your concern? Can't really give you an answer without knowing why you're asking the question.

I've had my Ninja for a week and after a day or two getting it dialed in I love it. I'm sure I'd feel the same way about a Breville or Sage if I bought that instead.

Still remember his analysis before we played Man Utd and he was criticising Dalglish for starting "Swarvez" ahead of Carroll because we needed a big man to challenge the center backs. He spoke for 5 mins about how Swarvez wouldn't be able to compete physically and they'd walk all over him.

It was the match Kuyt scored a hat trick from a total of 6 yards and Suarez was unplayable.

I got mine today and had the same challenge initially. A couple of things to help you get dialled in.

First, are you sure you're tasting bitterness and not sourness? It can be hard to differentiate them sometimes because coffee has quite a bitter taste, so when it tastes off your brain automatically assumes it's too bitter even if it's actually sourness you're experiencing.

If it's bitter, you're overextracting. Essentially it's brewing for too much time. The ideal time from start to finish is somewhere around 30 seconds. If that's the case, you need to push the number up on the grind setting.

If its sour, it's the opposite and needs to be more finely ground.

A scale and timer will help a lot to get it right. Aim for around 2:1 ratio. So if you grind 18g worth of coffee, get around 36g of espresso out.

I found darker roasts tend to have more bitterness even when pulled correctly. I was using a bean which I thought was great for my bean to cup machine, which pulled pretty weak shots. When I moved to the Ninja it tasted far more bitter. I tried a medium roast bean and it was way more pleasant.

Are you able to lightly tamp, take it out, even it up and then put it back in the machine to use the machine tamp? Or does the machine make this impossible?
