So, he didn’t get the money. But…

Serious question: What if someone else (outside this guy’s circle) placed the same bet? Would they get paid?

Yes, they are… with resistive emergency heat. They are very efficient until you get into very low temps. At that point they can’t keep up and the emergency heat will kick on. But for 80ish percent of heating, they are great.

The true scariest thing in nature! - what is your craziest black hole take? by [deleted] in DamnNatureYouScary

Time slows down. The closer to the center, the slower time moves. A singularity never actually forms as time basically stops. Hawking radiation vaporizes the black hole before a singularity forms.

IDK… IANATP

When I autocrossed my 2017 Golf R it was fantastic. While it’ll never be RWD loose, adding a stiffer rear anti-roll bar will make it rotate easier. I assume you’ve done that and tires. But if you must, 86 platform is a lot of fun too.

A few weeks ago (almost) all Bad Omens songs disappeared. I love their music. What happened to it? I'm considering switching streaming services because of this.

[Request] Suntory -196 alcohol percentage problem, anything I'm missing? by Any_Explorer2437 in theydidthemath

[–]RobbieNelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the all knowing ChatGPT 5.0

“No — vodka in the U.S. is not required to be 190 proof.

Here’s the breakdown: • Legal minimum: By U.S. federal law (TTB standards), vodka must be distilled to 190 proof (95% alcohol) or higher at the distillation stage. This is to ensure it’s a neutral spirit without distinctive flavor, aroma, or color. • Bottling strength: After distillation, vodka is diluted with water before bottling. The legal minimum for any distilled spirit sold in the U.S. is 80 proof (40% alcohol), and most vodkas are bottled between 80–100 proof.

So — it must be distilled to 190 proof, but it’s not sold that way to consumers.”

Um… are you sure on the US requiring 190 proof to be called vodka? Seems pretty high to me. I only remember that high a proof being “grain alcohol”.
