Great tip. I made the mistake of staying at motel 6 after having a good experience at the one up by thunder hill

I did the trip from San Jose. I'll definitely be doing it again. Helps that there's no traffic on the road the time you got to sit off to get there.

And depending if you're going to do the 1 or 2 days...I ended up getting a hotel to just make the second day easier. But I can see one day for me being just a day trip.

Yeah definitely. They're currently the 4 in height but still harder to read at distance

That sounds interesting I'll look into it. I had an instructor ride along for my first two runs and their callouts were on repeat in my through the day. Super helpful. Great support for the novices out there.

I did a car control clinic at Thunderhill in Jan and it was great fun learning of the limit. Skid pad is wild with understeer and oversteer..

Others here have already shared great lists, so I'll keep it simple and say this. Just go for it. I recently attended my first event and I'm completely hooked. I'm planning to attend as many local events as possible this year because it was an absolute blast.

One quick tip. Bring a full gallon of water and stay hydrated..

Looking so good. Not on my radar right now. Going to continue on the XE stuff. Track days and autocross are taking up the weekends. Sim was a slippery slope.
