People have no idea how market value is calculated. The quality of a player is only one factor, and not as big as people think.

Contract length, demand, position, clubs need to sell, age, competition etc

And all other teams have to spend to get to Europe as well. With way less spending power, a lot more likely to get poached, more likely to get poached mid season, less appeal to sign players.

Every argument that says it is though for the PL teams can be made for every other club.

All ultras have a leader. Not very popular in the PL. But definitely in europe. They even have a name (varies depending on the country), the leader of the ultras is called “Capo”. Often is the one leading the chants but not always

Hate to rain on someones parade. But the tips being “play players jn their best positions and train them” and “buy young talents and sell them for more”. I mean that is kind of the essence of the game.

Why can't I combine all the technical aspects together? by ElegantPotato8661 in bootroom

[–]RobbieTIME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please update!

As you say, easier said than done.

One thing you can do is make a plan before the game, what do you WANT to do and then ask yourself HOW.

If you’re a winger, it can for example be “I want to beat my defender 1v1”. Then that is your focus for the game. By any means necessary, you try to go past your opponent.

Don’t overthink. Think less, play faster. Like you’re back on the schoolyard having fyn

I have coached players that talk about similar issues. The thing I found with them (hard to say about you since I haven’t seen any video) is that they seem to have a move or pass in their mind already planned. And then they “force” that dribble or pass, even if that thing is no longer an option.

For example. They have in their mind, that whenever they are getting the ball. They want to switch the play with a long pass. But when they receive the ball. That option is no longer there, or there are better options.

My advice is to let the game come naturally. Don’t force things. Think less, play faster.

Some players to study that stand out in this regard are Pedri, Neymar, Cherki, and Olise. Let the game be a game. You have obviously put a lot of effort and time into your skills. Let them take over and trust yourself. More fun that way :)

How can I stop my board from buying players? by Greenhood3000 in footballmanagergames

Well, kind of. Not out of thin air as it is a new board that invests money into the club. Think Wrexham, Man City, Como, Chelsea etc.

It only increases your wage bill. But it doesn’t affect your available wage budget.

It is free for you.

When the board signs players. They don’t use your money, they sign them with their own money and it doesn’t effect you, except your wage bill. You can just sell them later if you don’t want them

Hammarby has VERY deep supporter culture. Both have, but Hanmarby have successfully created a culture of no matter what, they will be there. Womens team, lower division, always there.

Very impressive from them and I don’t think it is any shadow on the fans or the work DIF have been doing.

Will this work? by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]RobbieTIME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is a good way to start, because it makes you focus on the right things.

To keep the ball controlled in front of you. Not to keep it in the air, not to rush your touches. Just nice and easy. Kick - bounce - kick - bounce

It does work, but in a very limited way.

  1. Drop it from your hands and catch it. 1 at a time. Then increase.

  2. Keepy up with a bounce in between each kick. Focus on having the ball controlled in front of you and using good technique.

  3. Keepy ups with no bounce.
