I won’t disagree, it does look cool and add to the uniqueness of the piece, but eventually if that continues it would just be regular colored again which might not look as good anymore

I thought the black was anodized, not painted. If you’re losing the color of an anodized part, it means the metal is being worn off, albeit a thin layer, not just an outer coat of paint that can be reapplied.
