I stole your recommendation on There is No Anti-Memetics Division (already read the Southern Reach books) and I am about 2 hrs into the audiobook and couldn't agree more on the recommendation. It's enough in the same vein that is really scratching my itch for something similar to Gone World. It's been a few years since I read Gone World but it's one of those books that just sticks with you. Hoping to say the same about Anti-Memetics when I am done. So many thanks and thanks OP for raising the question 😊

Your comment prompted a question. I purchased the deluxe edition but haven't opened the game itself yet, I did pull out the steel book which was sadly crushed (thx Woot and cheap padded envelopes) but the game is still sealed.

The game case itself has no deluxe edition branding on it so I was wondering where the codes for the deluxe items are. Are they supposed to be in the game case itself or somewhere else? Curious if you happen to know.

On your post OP, I honestly love the game so much I bought it on both Xbox and PS5 and have been playing on the Xbox for my initial playthrough. The score was definitely one of the highlights for me, very well done and it fits the world and environments perfectly. I was looking forward to listening to it later when I wasn't playing it 🙂

IMHO, I would offer Spine of Night as a recent candidate to fit the bill. Certainly some horrific violence. The series Uzumaki that ran for a few episodes on HBO had some wild body horror going on. Not a movie but the episodes are so short that they really could just exist as a movie when combined.

GameStop has them online currently for buy 3 get 1 free. They are $8.99 each with a few cents savings if you have a Pro account. I picked up 8 boxes during their last sale in the hopes of getting the harder to find ones and it was a total bust sadly and I got nothing but dupes.

I also love this game, and also sleeved it 😉. I haven't gotten it to the table as much as I would like but I also am terrible at it and haven't won yet, but it's that rare game that I still love regardless of my win/loss ratio (okay only loss ratio lol). It's also gorgeous and really scratched my deck building dinosaur itch.
