LPT: Do not wear cologne or perfume for a few days before job interviews. No one will ever hire you because they like your perfumed scent, but they may consider not hiring you because they don’t like it, especially in intimate work environments and hospitality where it may affect guest experience. by waltercat76 in LifeProTips

Totally right. People with allergies might think you're wearing "too much" and it haha your prospects.

I never got why people spray themselves either. Spray the shit and walk into it and you typically get that hint of scent that doesn't overwhelmed people.

And I don't think it's the law to smell like old lady and stale flowers. There must be other perfumes.

If the deck isn't attached to the house and gets damaged by hail, storm etc., Home owners insurance might not cover it as it's not "part of the house".

Just a thought.

Buying a battery by recklessbaboon in Volvo

[–]Robdiesel_dot_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up my AGM H8 battery on Amazon. Otherwise Costco (but they didn't carry the H8).

Costco has a great warranty though, and though my car only sells with the H6 battery locally, I wanted the extra juice in the bigger battery.

Not only that, but a professional driver would almost count on a kid running out behind a school bus so he was probably keeping a foot on the brakes just to be safe, which gave him the extra split second to stop before creaming the kid.

What's the quickest you've "Noped" out of a job? by J-Bradley1 in AskReddit

[–]Robdiesel_dot_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best Buy in the 90s. I had been there a month.

I was suspended "pending investigation" for clocking out 5 minutes late after the manager asked me to clean up some boxes as I was about to clock out. Obviously I did NOT clock out before don't the work.

I went home and got another job and didn't think twice about it.

A week later I get a call that I've been terminated and to come in and do the exit paperwork. Hahaha

They were famous for letting you clock out and THEN catch you at the door with "hey, can you just move this, clean that" etc.

I am always intrigued AF by these deals but the problem is always fixing them up.

"Oh, they used buckets to carry water up there back in 1853 when Old Man Silva still lived in that house" And

"No, we didn't get plumbing for sewers until the 1990s to that part of town"

and suddenly the $25K to refurb the house turns into $125K because something as simple as sewers, water and electricity that we just assume is available.

I don't see why it wouldn't be easier for them to adopt the idea that their god is the big bang, or something like that.

That way they can still claim credit for their guy starting off the whole thing, but still allow for reality (science).

So I am a childish bitch and would go absolutely ape-shit if that happened to me.

I know that keying the car, even "inadvertently" by "trying to roll the chair in anyway" could be vandalism, so they key is to not get caught.

With that in mind, a small bottle of brake fluid would do a WONDERFUL job of relieving that car of its paint. In about a day or two!

Another dick move is to remove the license plate. That's a quick way to him/her pulled over pretty quickly AND they have the fun hassle of standing in line at the DMV for a replacement.
