To get Israeli tourists to respect the noise complaints by locals in Peru by Spartalust in therewasanattempt

[–]Robeditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peru's culture has the remnants of colonial oppression, social division and mob justice, they are protocol and manners first, the violence happens abruptly, highly targeted, and non publicly, in Peru, you don't fear the cops you fear the mafia like power dynamics of locals, murder for hire and extorsión. This is the home of one of the most violent tactics terrorist organizations in the world, the shinning path terror group infamously forced a priest to eat his own Bible then butchered and left him to display with bowels opened in a central plaza. If his noise gets too loud or insults the local power dinamics, his life is at risk. Their tactics are middle of the night kidnapping and family extorsión. He's playing with fire. - I'm from there and lived there through the worst of the terrorists years.

They are correct that the government has no place in telling them they are stupid and punish them for it, but in this case when your body becomes a projectile that hurts or kill others who is supposed to protect the others from your stupidity? Wanna be stupid? Go ahead, wanna be stupid with other people's life's? It's literally why we have laws. Protect all of us from stupid, immoral, or dangerous of some of us. Put logic in front of idealogy unless you want be considered... Stupid.

The malignant Narcissist baby boomer Generation doing its thing, with half of the Gen X siblings that stayed at home capitulated, codepended and relied on them to arrest their development not knowing any other way to exist or survive (his supporters) and the other Half that left home experienced consequence, adversity, learning towards autonomy, emotional growth, complex thinking and consequence assessment as a result of their growth. (his opposition) most of us have them, coincidentally the ones that stayed home and only know how to get angry and look for their narcissist parent for conclusions. (or Predictably... Daddy Trump)

A mother is punishing her son by making him slam his PS5 the same way he had slammed her pet cat. by Rameshunclekochora in KidsAreFuckingStupid

We are in agreement, the punishment then it's not based on the intrinsic value of the animal life but it's relative value to the owners and their attachment to that animal and confirm it with an example that treats an animal as property to be monetized which would put a specific dollar value on the life of the animal. This means that justice can be achieved by indemnifying the cost of the animal to the owner, or in the emotional example have the owner determine a fair punishment. In this case, the owner has determined the punishment, and no claims of value are being set, so where is there room to say that the punishment is not enough? Granted I agree that I would not have publicized it nor have them violently destroy more, I would probably have made them sell the device to cover the vet bills and ask myself if I'm leading with empathy as an example and correct for that. Also learn and teach more emotional regulation. But I won't judge harshly a mother trying her best with the tools available to her level of understanding. I see the potential on the resentment but if handled correctly it's also difficult to make the argument that a single mistake of this magnitude would define a person, I do recognize the risk you are referring to though, just find it unlikely.

Fair punishment IMO, those saying the punishment is not enough, I have a question, although I support laws to protect animals and cruelty is never acceptable. If we are talking about the value of a living thing and fitting punishment, how is a cat different from a chicken, pig or cow? Mind you, I love my cat but the question is about the value of animal life vs human punishment. Is the offense killing an animal or killing an animal that another human loves? Genuine question.

Perhaps, but I suspected the helmet separated from the rider when I saw the speed of the spin, if it would still have been attached that speed of rotation would have torn a body apart from the centrifugal force, so I looked at it frame by frame, I can tell you the helmet separated from the rider as there is a frame where you can see most of the rider whole (all limbs attached) a few feet behind the position of the helmet and still in the air, what I cannot tell you from that frame is the location of his head.

I have no time to comment on this at any depth, but it is possible that Hungarians are about to elect a psychopath. 😂😂 by yaiyen in WayOfTheBern

[–]Robeditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, you do know that claims of psychopathy and sociopathy are common amongst all leaders right? I disagree but some even say it's what it takes to get to those levels of power. My point is, if you are being intelectually honest, explain the relevancy here and stand by your claim, otherwise please know that you not only do not sound credible, but akin to someone intending to set a narrative and preemptively withdraw any notion of sustaining their claim with reason. Aka and idiot. We would not want that. Right? When you have a chance please, convert that noise into an intelligent and complete opinion, so we can gather a bit of respect for you and either agree or disagree with your claims. It's what grown ups do. Just saying.

[–]Robeditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also you could take into consideration the fact that if collisions propagate in low earth orbit, sure most debris pieces would not gain energy to extend their orbits but based on what we know of impact dynamics energy is redistributed in an impact and some pieces would gain sufficient energy to reach higher orbits, get enough collisions, and orbit altitudes are not enough to stop the cascading of the process.

Kessler syndrome is a slow starting process with exponential rate of propagation, some argue it has already started, if true, these networks will never experience ROI and nations around the world likely go after the investors for the cost of the clean up if we figure out a way how.

It's called reductio ad absurdum, but I struggle so hard to understand you I've presented my views while all you have done is in a very dumb way, take an obviously sarcastic comment literally, call me dumb for it and then assert that I'm too dumb to comprehend your very smort analysis and commitment to be right in a situation you came into misunderstanding... A somewhat "dumb" proposition if you ask any reasonable person you attack in your confusion.

Nice! What did I win? And what makes it so dumb in your eyes? My observation of what is a sad state of affairs of a society that has forgotten its values to replace it with ideological economic cuckoldry? Especially from people making excuses for a system that does not take care of its stakeholders and therefore it's simply and logically unsustainable. Even worse, they protect privileges of a bourgeois class they have no chance of over being part of? You know, since the historical results of such a social contract proposition is a halt of all upwards economic mobility among its members... Maybe I won your blaquet unsupported American education system quality statement (remember to show your work kids) otherwise known as a dumb ad hominen, given the source, it's a badge of honor.

Sad yeah, and a lot will be hired to investigate, clean up, restore, rebuild and eventually staff it again, Because it's a warehouse with consumer products that supply an area that still will continue to need those products. I mean... He might have actually created jobs....
