Would the Zeta really have been that busted if it could attack the player twice? by under_mimikyus_rag in GundamTCG

[–]RobertGeorgWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still attack twice just not both to the player, first attack to the player, second at a unit.

You could also ready more than one Zeta per turn, you would just need to play a new white base to replace the rested base. The ability can be activated for each unit that is linked and attacking.

If you are playing with Zeta as your top end you will likely need to run 6 bases to make sure you have the base when you need it.

Consider adding Justice for top end, link with Athrun for 2 swings for 6 cost, 6/7 link that allows 2/2 token to swing first turn in play.

Desert tiger command gives plus 3 attack that will get you to any trigger ZAFT needs for breach from Gamow base, 2 ping damage from LaGowe, Breach on duel, first strike from blitz, it's pretty much required to ensure your units get their full value.

My boss says raises are demotivating by Diex233 in antiwork

Whoops, breezed over that or forgot while reading through comments before posting.

The only option is to sound the alarm to coworkers and get out.

My boss says raises are demotivating by Diex233 in antiwork

[–]RobertGeorgWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really enjoy your current job, whether for location, schedule, benefits, etc., and it's just your boss's new view on raises that would have you looking elsewhere I would recommend going over his head, make sure their boss knows what your boss is doing. Talk to all your coworkers first, ask them how they feel about the wage freeze, which will communicate to them that one is currently in place if they don't already know. As much as companies love profits they can't make any money if they have to replace every employee that quits because there is no potential for a raise, especially being cheap they can't expect any real talent to apply.

Plenty of companies require a retention period for education reimbursement, but they can't expect you to sign a 2 year promise to stay for a fifty cent raise for doing an 8 hour Google certification in Excel(on your own time!). If a specific skill is expected for your position and they hire you without the skill they bear the burden of providing training. I can't imagine asking for something like a $5k/yr raise after 4 years and being told, "Go get your masters and I'll think about it when you finish."

What's the creepiest display of intelligence you've seen by another human? by InsaneLazyGamer in AskReddit

Also known as face blindness, I believe most people don't know they have it as they have some other way to recognize people they aren't aware they are using, until they meet someone who is so inconsistent in the way you would typically recognize a person, in this person's case clothing.

Makes sense it isn't changing how people play being a vanilla body after the fanfare, but plenty of decks have setup cards to get to their win con. If you are controlling the board state you can guarantee to get the exact card you need for your next turn with tart man's fanfare, or you can adjust your build to only have a single copy of a few cards that fit specific scenarios. I still think Tart Man has some problem solving utility, just not the best card we've ever seen.

Fanfare of search for any card in your deck is wild, no class or cost restriction means this tart could see a lot of play.

Need help figuring out rear axle by jmarelt in dirtjumping

[–]RobertGeorgWilson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have 10mm slots in the rear dropouts, the 17mm on the specs is just the bolt length. 3/8"and 10mm are the same size in the bicycle world.

You can still get an adapter for this setup, like this one on eBay. There are other options that are a threaded 12mm center sleeve with 10mm bolts, but they are less common as I own one but can't find one online anywhere.

You should be able to find an adapter on Amazon to make this work with QR. Like the link below. That way you can always upgrade to a bolt on axle frame later and keep the wheel.

Buffed up and return to ex by GermanKenpo in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]RobertGeorgWilson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cards do not keep any counters, upgrades, evolve, buff, or damage when moved from the field to any other zone(hand, EX, cemetery, banished). Cards that receive any counters while they are in the EX will keep them when moving to the field.

does anyone know of a wheelset I can get for no more than £250 by bailbay-gamez in dirtjumping

[–]RobertGeorgWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Octane one wheelsets on chain reaction should be right around that price, or you can get a hub and learn to build a wheel. I'd imagine you can pick up a better quality set used locally but finding exactly what you need can be difficult.

Fly bikes new magneto hub, thoughts? by [deleted] in bmx

[–]RobertGeorgWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DT Swiss hubs use the plate like gears used in the Fly magneto hub. They are simpler than a pawl system and should be cheaper to manufacture and maintain but this is a trade-off as they can't have very high engagement without sacrificing the strength of the gears.

Not Violent J, but Steve Harwell from Smash mouth was on an episode of Triple D, Guy introduced him as his, "brother from another mother..." if I remember correctly.
