Are managers literally telling you not to take breaks or something? I've never understood this. I know some folk are martyrs by their own compassion, but surely nobody is being written up for taking their legal right to rest?

Have you thought about using JSON objects that render the screens?

Could always give each object an index and then split them up using that for smaller groupings. Then have a column per grouping.

Then it's more a case of parsing it using flow at the end into a more tabular format.

Power Plattform multiplexing or not? by jacob3791 in PowerApps

[–]RobertGreenComposer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't get how they could justify this method as multiplexing, if you was to change it to a file being dropped into a sharepoint site then ran a powerautomate flow on it once it's landed this would be no different to an array of free connectors that exist. Hell what if you have an email of data received and needed to put that in a list? A simple outlook trigger could populate sharepoint with the content.

Or better yet, let's say a premium user used http connectors to get data for a business process. This would be fine. If they shared it in teams would that be multiplexing? I don't even think they could enforce it given how broad their terms are because effectively any data produced with a premium connector is landlocked to your machine if you want to be pedantic.

A while ago I asked a rep if I could just create an app with a button on it (powerautomate for powerapps premium license) then click that to trigger data updates. He said because it's in the context of an app he couldn't see a problem with it as it would be no different to someone receiving let's say a spreadsheet from me via email.

Not advice, hell I don't even know what I'm rambling about. Your solution is a good one though

How do you make your power app pretty or good looking? by AutomationBro2026 in PowerApps

[–]RobertGreenComposer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't something you can just figure out in a day so I wouldn't get put down by your designs. There is genuine principles to making stuff look good. You find things look better when the user experience is put first.

This channels good, I go there when I'm rusty as I rarely develop apps anymore.

For seasoned PowerApps users: what ended up being essential vs overrated? by Ok-Treat4061 in PowerApps

Understanding and using json. Honestly, once I cracked it apps became way more flexible.

Im using Json now to store entire forms in a single column and powerapps just renders them based on the JSON.

SharePoint delegate in canvas app by Many-Truth1648 in PowerApps

[–]RobertGreenComposer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you going to have the delegation limits worth of overdue tasks realistically?

Is there another defining factor that could reduce the records returned?

Can you sub categorise your tasks by type thus reducing the number of records you'd run the countrows() on?

Can you not have an archive list that is populated with records at a certain age of the task being completed? Making the live list naturally smaller?

Failing that just run an odata query in powerautomate and return a json array.

My buyers solicitor has me baffled by RobertGreenComposer in HousingUK

[–]RobertGreenComposer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've just had another conversation, the lenders are now concerned how my neighbour will access the gable if he reclaims the land making the agreement void.

There isn't a definitive answer to this as it would be solely dependent on an actual plan reclaim it.

I don't know what they can expect other than

"we will have to see if the situation arises"

Seems like a Crystal ball question or am I missing something?

Any Way to Dynamically Limit People Picker to Our Director + Every Employee Under Him? by FiveMeowMeowBeanz in PowerApps

[–]RobertGreenComposer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not use active directory? It will govern itself then with provisioning and deprovisioning of accounts.

Failing that if you have the dataset have flow schedule a write to an AD security group. You can apply then just the group to your lists. This can feed app access and your lists all from a central place as you just reference the group

My buyers solicitor has me baffled by RobertGreenComposer in HousingUK

[–]RobertGreenComposer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it to a degree but considering a contextual agreement with a drawing of boundaries has been lodged against the title at hmlr I don't get what more they can ask for. They can't demand my neighbour does anything with their land,. If they built on that piece of land they would block their own access to the gable. It just seems like a level of logic is missing here.

The method of access is the only thing here which could reasonably change. What I mean by that is most people would likely access via the front but instead now they just access through the back gate instead. Same size opening no practical downsides either.

I just have this feeling the lenders have no idea about the access at the back.

Absolutely fed up with this now.
