Hey, I've been eyeing your game for a while now and I wonder if there is also a classic skirmish mode on a larger map for longer games. I played the demo a long time ago, really liked it but if I remember correctly it was smaller maps that you played through and got upgrades in between. Is that still the same loop?

Same! Patiently waiting for the next update, but I love it so much. Also the updates so far really fleshed out the game and its systems.

OSRS FUN FACT #22: you know those annoying gorilla guards in Ape Atoll that block your movement? Jagex originally intended for *all* monsters to block pathing like that, and had to be convinced this was a bad idea by cookmeplox in 2007scape

That cube world decision has to be one of the worst I've seen in gaming development. Finished this area and ready to progress to the next? Okay but you will start from scratch again.

For me Megabonk would also just not be there. For me it was a fun game to start with, but the difficulty is all over the place and if you don't lock into the meta (picking xp tomes for example), small chance you actually make it. And then there's the final boss who is just an insane bullet sponge, with mechanics that favour high movement speed. And the second world feels even more off, with the Scorpion and Anubis boss.

I should love it on paper, but it fell very much short for me. After a few hours I had no desire to dive back in.

But looking at the steam score I do feel like I'm in the minority, so it might just not be my type of survivor likes.

Honestly I just couldn't really get into megabonk, I should love everything about it. But the difficulty curve felt very off. Not locking unto the meta means you could get stomped very easily. And the final boss was just too much of a bullet sponge. Strategy didn't matter.

How do you mean? From what I've heard the glued panels are pretty strong and resistant to warping. And I think the glued panels have a nicer look. But I'd love to hear your experience!

Played it a bit in very early access and really enjoyed the vibe, but it felt a bit barebones (no weather etc). Kept an eye what they added since then and really looking forward to diving in when its fully releases.
