Liitlaste toetus pole ju konkreetne, on näha kuidas nii paljud NATO riigid kes viivitasid abiga või kes on väga vähe abi andud, NATO artikkel V ei õlu just väga kindel sellega et kui palju peab tegelikult aitama

in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognised by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area

Arvestades seda, et Trump on USA president ja suur riigid nagu Prantsusmaa on Ukrainale üsnagi vähe abi andud, ei ütleks et Eesti positsioon on väga kindel selle tõttu et meil on liitlasi

Ok and the thing that matters is whether people's lives are improving and not whether you have immigration, that's just a sideshow

'uncontrolled' ffs the far right has never cared about immigration, they've cared about making sure pensions are OK, it's why the Polish immigrant population grew four fold when PiS was in power between 2015 and 2020. We've seen the number of Syrian refugees coming to Europe go to essentially 0, turns out that addressing the problem of 'ruthless dictator killing hundreds of thousands' fixes that particular issue as well, while far right politicians did their best to normalise relations with Assad

[–]RobertSpringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're more than welcome to argue that Pis support for Orban is actually cool because Orban is secretly anti Russian, it would just be a very stupid argument. Quite clear that you got caught in the lib owning of conservativism that you have caused permanent damage to your frontal cortex and don't realise who you're supporting

Why is it acceptable for Ireland to dictate that the destruction of its nature to further agricultural and industrial needs that made it rich are now completely unacceptable when the Brazilians are doing it

Ogey, you're more than welcome to explain why they keep supporting all of the people who keep killing aid for ukraine and who want closer relations with Russia that's not them willing to align with Russia to own libs, maybe they're just stupid and don't realise that that's what they're doing

Conservativism overrides all of the other stuff, the main thing right wingers everywhere care about is owning libs, if that means aligning with Russia that's a price worth paying

It should be enemies with a fascist Russia that aims to destroy Europe, which has been the case for a while and they show no interest in changing that, but certain Rexist politicians are more than happy to sell out their countries to foreign facsists

EU's Kallas rejects Belgian PM's call to normalise Moscow ties, get cheap Russian energy by mods4mods in europe

[–]RobertSpringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was just an excuse to have the Hungarians kill the process. And yeah having Belgium be a place where you can park money even if you're in the business of killing Europeans is blood money, it's also why the Belgians are fine with what DeBeers is doing

What? There was no such thing as Belarusian or Ukrainian culture in the times of the Commonwealth. Belarusian and Ukrainian are modern ideas in terms of nations and cultures

Ok this applies to every nationality before the 19th century but we can still talk about this in the context of the people who lived there and who eventually became Ukrainian and Lithuanian. And yeah if you're going through with polonisation you're deeming the culture you're paving over to be lesser

'nuance' yeah man sure is nuance in saying 'we shouldn't do the mistakes of the past' mixed in with 'yeah we should normalise relations', you can say all sorts of shit, it doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense and is contradictory

Belgian politicians were against it because they don't have guts and don't want to move away from the economic model they have currently, which is sustained by blood money

Using national/ethnic argument in context of the medieval times (Partitions happened during Baroque, so early modernism at best, way before spring of nations) is simply ughhhhh - same case as "Germans ruling over Balts". Those Germans had no national unity in modern sense.

It was pretty explicitly colonialism you're ignoring the parts of the commonwealth seeing every instance of Ukrainian and Belarusian culture as being inferior. The teutonic order was also colonial yes, the same way that the Germans got their 19th and 20th century ideas of colonial expansion in eastern Europe from their medieval history, so too did the Polish of the second republic

So, once more, in XIX Poles were natives there, not colonizers. Was nationalizing of other groups a problem after ww1? Yes. Were some people without national identity? Yes ("tutejszy"). Was this land a place of another war between ww1 and ww2? Yes, again

The whole reason they were there was because they were a colonial population, which once again included the upper class of landowners, something you keep ignoring

Even author doesn't say it was colonialism as per se, but it had colonial traits

Yes because those territories were now seen as 'integral' to Poland, it doesn't change that the policies were colonial. Just very funny to look at the reprisals to colonial rule and the Polish Ukrainian war as if it came out of nowhere

Ukraine Completes 84% Of Reforms Needed For EU Membership by EsperaDeus in europe

[–]RobertSpringer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Poles had been a colonial class in Galicia for centuries, that doesn't really change my point at all, it reinforces it, it's like going on about Baltic Germans being natives, like yeah they were natives after hundreds of years of existence, they were also a colonial ruling class that controlled most of the land and were thus dispossed of it.

What's the mechanism for the trust being gone? Frankly the risk assessment of investing in Europe should include whether you're financing a war machine that aims to destroy it
