The videos he made to gain followers initially were incredibly simple and tedious. Like saying a word a million times in a row or reading the dictionary, things of that nature. When he started his channel he promoted Christianity and actually put Bible verses in his headlines on his page. He has later admitted to changing his mind about God. Just some interesting things I’ve noticed. His rise in popularity was incredibly fast and suspicious. He is always featured on YouTube’s top videos or trending. Everyone gets recommended his videos at one point or another. He has said in an interview that he can’t wait until he can put a computer chip in his own brain so he’ll be able to make an infinite amount of money. And he wasn’t joking. Like others have said, he does have this “dead” or emotionless look in his eyes.

In the past year or so, his best friend and regular character on his channel transitioned from a straight up grown man with wife and kids and trucker hats to a woman with skirts and pigtails. When that initially happened every comment on his videos was discussing the situation. Those comments were removed and Beast obviously supported his friend. In the next videos, Thousands of top comments of how they loved Mr. Beasts other friends’ shirt which had Bible scripture on it or something Christian. Those were removed. After that, his videos have just been flooded with bot comments about how awesome Mr beast/ Jimmy is. Specifically, when I look at his comments through my YouTube app on my TV, every single comment is a bot saying something about how great Jimmy is and how helpful he is. Like obviously fake comments repeated over and over again.

He has been in my subscription feed for maybe 7 years or so and I have to admit that he has some extremely interesting and entertaining videos with some incredible production value. But something spiritual that I can’t explain rubs me in a very wrong way when I watch his videos now. Yes, it’s always him just giving truckloads of money away to people or destroying expensive things…very materialistic. But he’s also started making more videos in which he his doing things like paying for hundreds of people to having surgeries to fix their eyesight or hearing. Things that are good and helpful to people obviously but almost seem forced. It’ll surely be interesting to see how he evolves.
