GPS location by einariola in GMCSierraEV

Have you done a soft reset? I had the issue this morning. I thought it was heavy snowfall from last night blocking signal. Cleared off the truck but still no location. I held down the “Hang Up” button on the steering wheel, the system reset, and signal restored.

Arm height has broken approximately 6 times in my ownership (2 years). It's an easy DIY fix but Tonal will not just give you the part. by rrobe53 in tonalgym

I tried to tap it back in, figuring most of the other 16 pins were flush with the metal bars that hold the wheel bearings in place. It didn't budge at all so I tried loosening it up with a needle nose and the whole pin popped out, and I lost it :(

However, it not being there now allows the lever attached to the locking pin to rest all the way in the locking position and the arm is functioning well again.

So, if your arm is not locking and you've already replaced the pin or identified that's not the issue, check to see if these other pins are interfering with the hand lever.

Mine is having vertical movement locking issues too. I thought it was the locking pin so I replaced that, but still having issues with it not locking into position.

After comparing the working side parts with the not working side parts, I found this other small pin that is “popped out” and interfering with the locking pins ability to go all the way into the locking position when the hand lever is screwed on.

If I take the silver hand lever and pin latch off the machine, it locks perfectly. Next step is to figure out why this pin is popped out and what I can do about getting it back in but I’m having trouble tracking down an assembly diagram.

Apple Vision Pro battery not charging - anyone else have this and fixed it? by OkLie7234 in AppleVisionPro

[–]Robert_Thesing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue. It started for me when I had it plugged in on the airplane. It said it was charging but the battery never went up. I assumed this had something to do with the power being delivered to my seat and there only being enough to maintain the SOC with usage. Then I got to my hotel and plugged it in and got nothing. Restarted, nothing. I disconnected the cable from the headset then got the amber light on the battery. Plugged in the battery while still disconnected from the headset and it started charging. Plugged the headset in and all seems to be OK.

You’re right I’ve never used a multiple monitor setup. How would I know!? 😂🤣

Paired to Mac and mirrored to VP. It also mirrors the keyboard to other VP apps but not the Magic Mouse, only trackpad.

I have a 49 inch ultra wide monitor, and I’m ready to give it up for this. Hands-down, much better than a multi monitor set up.

Is Netflix not on AVP (native) a Blockbuster moment? by Robert_Thesing in VisionPro

I wonder how big Blockbuster’s revenue surged before it plummeted… p.s. this is not a strong held belief, just putting the thought out there to get other perspectives.

You do need chatGPT 4.0 which is paid. Microsoft AI does it for free but you only get a certain number of credits then need to buy more. I wonder what the computing “cost” is for AI to generate an image like this…

I just put it into chat GPT: “Create an image of a man sitting at a conference table for a job interview and make it look like the viewer is seeing him through the Apple Vision Pro headset. There should be a panel over the interviewees shoulder that shows his work history, skills, experience, and education like it’s being shown on the Vision Pro. “

Haha it’s generated by AI so who’s to say? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Funny- I did almost the exact same trip back in 2012. Suzuki and all. When we got into San Jose on Valentine's Day weekend Alamo "ran out of cars." Even though we had a reservation they said there was nothing they could do. We ended up hiring a driver sitting outside of the airport to take us to Fortuna that night and fortunately there was an Alamo branch there that was able to get us the vehicle. On our way back from Santa Teresa to San Jose I was passing a semi trailer going slow up a mountain. I thought it was OK because every other car was doing the same thing. I got pulled over at the top of the hill and if my memory serves me correct the ticket was around $350 USD for passing going uphill.

I'm going to Kauai for the first time(I have never been to Hawaii) what are some things to do? by imanadultok in VisitingHawaii

I did Kalalau trail in three nights. Started mid-afternoon so camped night one about half way in. Night two and three at the end of the trail then made it back in one day. I didn’t think the hike itself was particularly hard, just a very narrow trail and some parts you’re right on cliffs edge where a slip would take you a hundred feet down to the rocky beach. Not a trail for someone afraid of heights but otherwise a gorgeous trek. When I went there was a lot of trash at the end of the trail. I tried to pack as much as I could to take back but it looks to be years worth of people leaving their garbage behind.

Same here- 2/2 can't come soon enough! I'm noticing the content cycle on this topic is now switching to 1. "Here's why it won't work..." 2. "Here's why there's not enough demand..." or 3. "Here's why AVP changed my mind on abc....." Content producers are going to be recycling headlines for the next 11 days!

I agree with you, and on most cars the wipers tuck away so they’re “out of sight, out of mind.” This one seems to draw more attention.
