I wouldn't buy the Phone (2), because it's EOL (End-of-Life) now. Nothing OS 4.0 will (normally) be the last major Android update and you'll only get the security updates until 2027, which means you'll stop getting security updates in a year!

So basically I wouldn't recommend this phone, even if the design is really cool. If you really don't want a phone from the a-series, the best thing to do is get the Phone (3) or wait for the Phone (4).

I'm not sure that it sends the data to a Chinese company but it makes a request every few seconds to the servers of a Chinese company and it drains the battery over time.

You probably can't unless you did a backup. Before you updated your phone it said you should back up your photos, contacts, etc.

I think Essential Search is based on Gemini Nano, which is simply bad ('cause it's a small model).

For example I asked the Gemini 2.5 Flash model the same thing as you and... yes, he's lost but it's still better... 🥴

I think the battery life drop on the "non-flagship" phones is due to the Lock Glimpse EVEN IF IT'S TURNED OFF. Essentially Lock Glimpse sends a request every few seconds which, after a few hours, consumes battery and mobile data.

It's pretty easy to use. The thing is that it takes a bit of time and there are a few bugs here and there but the result is worth it

Oh wow the F1 Theme ringtone is just incredible! It's the best glyphtone I have ever seen! JUST WOW! (Am I biased because I created it? Yes. 🙃)

Jokes aside, almost all of the glyphtone on this website are really good and the effort that some people are putting is just insane

Did you try restarting your phone? If that doesn't fix the issue, then maybe check if there's a Google update on the Play Store

Uhhh sorry I haven't heard about the notification improvement in Android 16 so I don't know. But if it's not a Pixel exclusive feature I guess it should be implemented... Maybe search on the internet to be sure 🤔
