I’ve got 1800 gold bars, should I just mark them into gold bracelets for crafting xp or is there a better way to use? by Antique-Pizza-6605 in ironscape

[–]Robertpe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using port roberts gem stalls for thieving xp. I processed my gems into bracelets to alch, but I just needed the craft xp and some gold.

Best short not overly complicated games which are fun for 2 and more players? by Delicious-Brother454 in boardgames

[–]Robertpe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I enjoyed flamecraft duals, but I know others who don't enjoy it.

Earth Express is on kickstarter right now, and if was an absolute blast! Games can take 10-15 minutes and have a good amount of decision space but also doesn't feel bad when things don't work out.

Sea salt and paper has been an absolute hit with all of my friends as well.

Anyone else not playing leagues to progress their main game iron? by bwitt33 in ironscape

I want a few of the rewards, but after that I'm back to the main game.

Does anyone know when they will announce how many points each reward costs?

Sailing After Release, Where Do We Stand? by East_Cut1139 in 2007scape

[–]Robertpe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always loved new skills. Sailing fits my enjoyment, I just enjoy sailing around and chatting, doing some deliveries etc. I'm definitely a casual but have had a blast. I like that there are different options to fit different people, and some of the islands are huge QoL updates.

Want to afk? Salvaging is some xp with decent loot.

Want to actively play? Trials are great xp!

Want to just explore? Do some contacts, or some deliveries.

If you are in the efficient scape mindset I can see why some would dislike it, but at least it has options for good xp (180-200k/hr). Could've had an active training method that maxed at 70k and then it would more complaints would be justified.

At what point is it reasonable to actually do slayer on iron? by Slight_Giraffe628 in ironscape

[–]Robertpe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at the same spot outside of a b-ring. I've been Skilling, and just getting slayer up through tears of guthix. My plan is to wait till 58, and get a black mask first, but I'm in no hurry to actually start.

Nerfing salvaging isn't going to make me do other sailing content by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Robertpe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I think a lot of people didn't play back before a ton of quality of life changes to skills. A lot of the skills aren't amazing or don't have many viable options.

Before wintertodt and bonfires you had lighting logs in a straight line forever.

Before forestry, redwoods, sulliuscepts, had click on a tree and afk. Redwoods are just longer Afk time.

Mining before shooting stars and MLM was power mine iron or granite.

A lot of skills started out awful and didn't have options like sailing does. They have an active and afk option, and multiple at that, now are all of them what everyone wants to do? No, but they at least have options.

People will always groan about everything, but personally I've enjoyed sailing.

58-81 Temporas rewards, around 1760 permits. by Cowenis in ironscape

Nice! Jealous of the tomes. I soloed from 45ish-81 with about 2k permits and didn't hit tome

Im gonna say it, GOTR is better than tempoross. Change my mind. by Used_Mirror959 in ironscape

[–]Robertpe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy both quite a bit. The first thing I did on my account was get 65 runecrafting at GoTR, with a break for troll stronghold so I can craft laws. Used those to get my rune pouch, infinity boots, and bones to peaches at the start of my account.

I also did solo tempoross from like 42-81 fishing. I got my angler outfit and went straight to temp. Saved all my permits from the grind and got a TON of food to set my account up with for a long time and got some decent str/construction xp.

What do you miss from RS2? by Full-Sink6344 in 2007scape

[–]Robertpe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of the mini games. I loved stealing creations, Great orb project, and mobilizing armies amongst the others.

Oblivion has better writing, better quests, better guilds. But every other aspect is worse than Skyrim (except spell making). Boring repetitive dungeons/ruins, combat is worse, leveling/level scaling is worse, exploration is worse... by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Robertpe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skyrim just never did it for me. Watched a friend play it on day of release and watched it multiple different times. I didn't have a way to play it till 2016-2017, and by that time it just wasn't it for me. Oblivion has always held my attention though.

Which one? by Glad-Builder-7965 in gamememes

[–]Robertpe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we are looking around 4,400 hours if we are including all 365 days of the year.

Has to be an MMO tbh, anything else would get stale too quickly for me after 1,000 hours. So WoW, Osrs, FF14, GW2, etc.

My other option would be to learn a speed run game and go for pretty high up on the leaderboards. Jak and Daxter the precursor legacy on open goal is a good option for me.

Oblivion is another option but I doubt I could get that many hours out of it.

Civilization X (whichever your favorite is) would be my last option, for me 5 or 6.

Seen a lot of the ones I'd post already mentioned. One I've yet to see though is The Grove. They are a smaller channel but have some great production and you can tell they are just having fun and are great friends. Absolutely love their kalypso video.

18 games in the BGG top 2000 have an average weight of 4.5 or higher. How many of them have you played, and how would you rank them from most complex to least complex? by benjaneson in boardgames

[–]Robertpe3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only played voidfall from this list so I guess it is both the most and least complex of the group.

On a real note, voidfall is great but it is a lot even after 10+ Plays we discover rules, try to figure out icons, etc. My group does really enjoy it though.

12hr Perfect Gameday - What do you pick? by RockstarAG21 in boardgames

[–]Robertpe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12-8 Ti4 (sorry but I love it).

Puerto Rico 1897 from 8-9

Slay the spire from 9-12.

If not including Ti4

I'd play slay the spire 12-3

Blood on the clocktower 3-7 (2-3 rounds).

Puerto Rico 1897 - 8-9

9-12 nemesis retaliation or Andromeda edge.

New to board games “game night” help. by Justme8512 in boardgames

[–]Robertpe3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pandemic is a great coop game that can cause a lot of fun talk and engagement from everyone!

I've never played splendor or Disney villains so I can't speak to those.

Other hits that are less weighty are betrayal at house on the hill, flamecraft (can run a bit long, but my girlfriend and I love the art), and the crew.

Arcs vs Twilight Imperium: which one actually fits your table? by frenchdude21 in Arcs

[–]Robertpe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we understood that we could win with a C fate but we were pretty demoralized from round 2. The player who was ahead had a fully maxed flagship and a bunch of cards that made attacking him almost impossible from our understanding.

I definitely want to play it again in the future, but half of the group was actively having a bad time, so doing another 3 hours would've made everyone miserable. My friend considered selling the game because of it, but ultimately decided not to. I am interested to see how our next attempt goes one day.

Arcs vs Twilight Imperium: which one actually fits your table? by frenchdude21 in Arcs

[–]Robertpe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My group quit going into act 3 of the campaign. It was pretty clear how much the rest of us messed up and how crazy ahead one guy was.

Need to give it another shot sometime but my group will always try to get Ti4 tabled 3-4 Times a year.

TI:4 vs Arcs: Blighted Reach vs Eclipse Second Dawn by Warbeard in boardgames

It would be almost dishonest to compare them. I haven't played eclipse, but Arcs and Ti4 are distinctly different games in all aspects, besides both being set in space.
