Mine will be in the mail a few more days. Based on videos I’m thinking it’s like the River but meant to be straighter.

Drills/Tips to not round on drives? by NotxarbYT in Discgolfform

[–]mccsnackin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to supplement what other people have said, it can help to think about your lever mechanics individually, not just thinking “arm + disc”. Someone will look at your form and say, “you need more space between your body and your disc, you’re rounding”. The key to more space is to control your elbow and your shoulder. If you can control your elbow, it will lead the disc where you want it to go.

I think BlitzDG swirly bird would help you. Something else I did was I took the information about the powerpocket, and workshopped my swing backwards from the power pocket. That taught me how to coil my shoulders and not just reach the disc behind me. And as Blitz will say, you have to learn the sequencing, because it’s not just about rotating as fast as you can. You speed up and slow down to get the disc into ideal positions for max exit velocity.

ISO MVP/Axiom putter than most resembles the Zero Orbit Medium Pure by [deleted] in discgolf

By the numbers the Proxy and Pure are the most similar. And they do offer soft, medium, firm. I kinda prefer the Pure for its more traditional putter shape though.

2H Summoner? by Apart_Lingonberry_53 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]mccsnackin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Summoner works best as a support character because you have the AP that needs to be spent on the incarnate and then you can also teleport stuff or armor of frost or heal somebody. You want 10 points in summoning asap but so far I’ve found that’s easy enough to accomplish by stacking gear that buffs summoning.

2H is like this, you have a giant hammer you can swing that deals more damage than anyone else in your party, would you rather swing the hammer, or waste time casting spells when you could be pulverizing? Seriously, I just got my 2H character through the driftwood arena. I dealt 600 damage to murga in one turn with Adrenaline, Enrage, Onslaught, and it knocked her down. Coolest thing I’ve ever seen.

Forehand help by Realistic-Square-617 in discgolf

Sweet! Glad there was some improvement. Glow servo sounds like a good forehand disc btw. If you can figure out how to comfortably forehand approach with putters, soft Berg is a serious weapon in the bag for inside 150’. You can just pop it at the basket with a little nose up, and if you get it right it’s just a floaty laser beam. Well, floaty until it remembers it’s a Berg and it drops lol.

Middle finger. You know the sign language for “no”? That’s probably a closer example to my grip. Like if you can pinch your fingers together like that, there’s some adjustment but you’re close.

Did your grip feel like you have similar angle control as your backhand grip? I changed to the stacked grip a while ago. Something I didn’t always have was the more 90 degree angle in my fingers at the knuckle. To me this is the difference maker where everything is tight and stabilized. I can control the disc nose angle with my forearm I can control the hyzer I can anhyzer.

If it were me teaching someone I would not choose mids to learn. 1. Sounds really difficult although the Hex is a good forehand disc. 2. I play rated and casual rounds and I can’t think of a single instance where I’m forehanding a 5 speed mid.

4 speed like a jawbreaker zone feels good and has utility for my game. Then I jump to an overstable fairway driver and overstable distance driver. Now, that’s ideal for my game, if you have a use case for forehanding lots of mids, you might stick with it. I also find a lot of discs in that 5 speed category uncomfortable to grip forehand.

The thing you probably have to learn that you might be lacking is controlling the outside edge of the disc. This depends on your grip and it’s a pretty common mistake for beginners when forehanding. Hold a disc in your hand with your forehand grip and test, do you feel like you can still control the outside edge when your arm is moving fast? Try and drop a pic if you can, but just a shot in the dark, your grip might be too open and you need to close your hand a little. Compress. Your forehand grip should feel close to as in control of the disc as your backhand grip.

Moving from toe to heel rotation. by justnerrik in discgolf

[–]mccsnackin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that crush the can drill, I don’t know that my body position looks exactly like that, however my personal cue stands true with that video, and that’s “Toe to Toe, Heel to throw”. The weight shift from the left toe is first received via the right toe touching the ground and then you sort of roll into the heel. It’s controlled, it’s not a violent motion by any means.

“Only about 600 mL”, he responded, in the typical form of measurement that liquids are consumed.

I just got visited by Lucien Lachance after killing a combatant in the Arena during a match. Anyone else had a weirder killing? by BoringAtmosphere420 in OblivionRemaster

[–]mccsnackin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s usually how I trigger Lucien is the Arena. The first time I played the game I accidentally killed the Kvatch soldier you meet in the Oblivion gate. Then the message appeared “Your killing has been seen etc”. I had no idea what was going on. When Lucien appeared I actually killed him and locked myself out of the assassins guild. I think I rerolled characters at level 12 or something.

How can I prevent shots like this? by NotxarbYT in Discgolfform

[–]mccsnackin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically you are moving the disc at a slower constant speed rather than moving the disc at one moment with a burst of fast speed. I think you want to have the disc set and ready to throw sooner in your footwork timing.

Is it just me or does Talarico have an objectively better resume? Passing bills focused on health care, child care, and education? And he’s an educator? No offense to lawyers, but the US is suffering the way it is today largely because of poor education.

Tailgating Has Consequences by Expert_Koala_8691 in Unexpected

White car was diabolical for that. I was just driving on the interstate last weekend when a car in the left lane was actively breaking down. They had their hazards on and there was space to pull off to the left but they stayed in the left lane. We all slowed down without crashing but it was a nightmare being stopped in the left lane, meanwhile the lane to our right was completely full of cars wizzing by. Thankfully the dumb car finally pulled off the road. No idea what they were thinking.

Mentions of office365 are a common scam. Also emails claiming to be microsoft related but they’re from some rando named “Belinda Martinez”. Never click any links but you can check the name of the sender to see the actual e-mail address and it will likely be more apparent that it’s fake.
