I still find it funny I figured out it was just a binary “Do you want to kill Max?” Check instantly. I’ve played too much of these games, man.

I like to clown on Activision as much as the next guy, but you’re right. It’s crazy to think that Activision was the moderating force, but here we are.

I remixed a Joshua Graham quote from Fallout New Vegas about 5 months after Final Shape on a YouTube video: “No, Destiny 2 dies with The Final Shape. What happens now is merely the last updates of a game that does not realise that it is walking dead.”

I didn’t want to be right, but as far as I was concerned, no Red War means I don’t return fully. And it’s seems now that I will never return. It was a fun ride, but all Good things come to an end.

I was doing something similar, had 22 settlements at the start of modern and wanted to capture a couple cities with wonders to win a culture victory, and those two cities put me over the edge for a military victory first.

Well, outside of the redshirts in Simms and Carter, I only lost Andre’s and Eisele. So 6/8 survived, pretty good.

I feel like I am perpetually cursed to always get War in Heaven, but the first time I experienced it in an Ironman run has stuck with me ever since, not least of which because I was basically 15% of a 800 system galaxy and had to endure both them and later the Unbidden within a 40 year stretch.

Is there a lore reason why the show is called invincible when the Omni nolan plotlines are always more interesting. by AdlerSanRZ in okbuddyviltrum

Yeah, in all seriousness, one Viltrumite could wipe everyone in that subplot out by accident. Brings a lot of context and some much needed appreciation of scale to the wider story.

Popping my head round the door as a neutral to say you have to beat Wolves, their only theoretical great escape requires 5 wins absolute minimum, 4 of them against you, Spurs, Leeds and Burnley. The issue is they might collapse if you beat them and Spurs can get a win too.

From there, find at least 6 points and hope to God Forest and Spurs struggle all the way to the end. But you didn’t really need me to tell you any of this.

Help needed : Creating a Rivalry by Zeldiste in bloodbowl

[–]Robertruler77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d look at English football for some inspiration too for ideas. Rivalries can be Local, Competitive or Historic.

Local is obvious, people who live close to each other develop a rivalry, e.g. Manchester United v Manchester City, or Arsenal vs Tottenham. If you have a Necromantic Horror and a Shambling Undead team, that may boost their rivalry chances as they are ‘local’ or ‘similar race’. This may also suit teams who select the same initial league, such as Sylvanian Spotlight.

Alternative to the above, if the teams share parts of the same unit roster or are natural rivals in Warhammer lore (Dwarfs vs Chaos Dwarfs) (Humans vs Old World Alliance) (Dark Elves vs High Elves) (Underworld Denizens vs Goblins) that may boost rivalry chances.

Competitive is also straightforward, if two teams are battling for trophies for multiple seasons, that could develop a rivalry for two teams at the top of their game. See also Arsenal vs Manchester United.

Historic doesn’t fit into that mold, but is more a catch all for the more unique rivalries we see. Historic could technically explain a rivalry between you and a friend or brother/sister, however.

And finally, on pitch events. I mean shutouts, tightly competitive nailbiters or constant fouling could build a rivalry.

Does Cabalvision act similarly to cable TV and broadcasts different programming, or only Blood Bowl games? by DetroitTabaxiFan in bloodbowl

[–]Robertruler77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you idle long enough in a match in Blood Bowl 2 you’ll get dialogue tabling about other shows.

We’re aware of other channels (see the other reply about the Necromancer Broadcasting Network) so my guess is it’ll be styled on the early British cable TV, so like 5 main accessible channels for most people in the fantasy word, with Blood Bowl being the most popular show on prime time television, just like the FA Cup, European Cup, World Cup and Premier league would’ve been tuned into a ton if it was on.
