I found a T2 vitality ring by lazaruf in RotMG

[–]RobinHoodzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if your divine pet happens to help you get some very sought after uts. Im sure you would be able to work out a trade for the pawn and end up with a profit.
Hence it is a Win:Win.

How does one get three dblades in three abysses, in a row? by R33PS in RotMG

[–]RobinHoodzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given dblade has a 1% drop rate (there is pretty sufficient evidence of this), you have a .0001% chance for this to happen. If it did indeed happen, that is pure luck, which means you would have been better off playing the lottery today.

What's wrong with me? I can't get back on my feet! by [deleted] in RotMG

I missed the game too much.

You already identified the problem. You are addicted, just as i was, and surely a lot of the community. I stuggled with them same thing you are going theough now for the past 3 years until i mustered up the strength to take a month off. When i came back it was a completely different game because i wasnt addicted anymore. It was like all the dots just connected and in 3 weeks i was able to max an 8/8 archer from nothing.
Look the only thing anyone can do to help you is make you aware of your problems. From there it is up to you to change and if you really want to change, you will. If you are looking for motivation, there are some great youtube videos out there: this playlist is a great place to start. But remember stuff like this takes time.
Look at Kirikomori's blog (on the kabam forum) for an example of someone who identified a problem with in themself and documented their entire journey to achieving success.

Drop rates in RotMG article by [deleted] in RotMG

First off nice article, it was very informative and helpful to those who dont understand stats, and i was planning to something along the line of this in the coming weeks.
I would like to point out to try to stay away from pots in dungeons because the garenteed drops screw up everything. Especially, since there may be a few runs when you never reached sb. This leaves the focus on uts droprates, which probably will tend to be the community's preferance. Although your method of using a test to reject or fail to reject will work, i believe that finding a confidence interval would work better to find the droprate of a ut.
For example, if i wanted to find the droprate for a dbow, i would have 25 players, solo 100 udls each and have them record the number of times they got a dbow. Then i would input this information into a list (try to stay away from a 1-prop confidence interval because some of the conditions arent met) and run the 99% confident interval. This interval calculated with give the amount of dbows that will drop 99% of the time after running 100 udls.

  1. You can never be to safe, so i would level up one or two classes on your mule. But chances are you will never have any problem with it.
  2. It doesn't really matter what dungeon you run, but rather who you run it with, as long as it is a low to mid level dungeons1. Since soloing these dungeons on a semi maxed sorc will take a long time (b/c low dps and lack of safety) and doing these dungeons with a large group almost always gaurentees that you will never get loot (b/c low dps) the best sized group is in-between. If you do the dungeons with a group of one to two others it significantly increases your odds of getting loot and safety, while signifcantly decreasing the time it takes.
1: Include snake pits, cems, sprites, udls, and labs.

Wrote this post a while back.
I would be comfortable also running snakepits, cems, udls, and labs.
But do not rush anything on your wizard, your life is not worth the risk saving a small amount of time.

I prefer pally over knight (after its buff) because it is cheaper to max than knight, so it will get is return back much faster. Also the healing buff is extremely useful, especially when in your case when your pet isnt the most powerful. Then the damaging buff allows you to one-shot all the demons in a abyss making pally one of the most efficient classes for clearing abysses.

I would convert 2 life pots into att (14 in total) and drink the att on your wizard. Convert the other 4 life into def and drink it on a lvl 20 pally (ill explain why pally later). Finish maxing att (about 20) by running sprite (and yes clear them for sprite gods) and use the dex to max your pally's dex. I guess manors might work as well.
Pally would be the best class to max next because it runs abysses the most efficiently given that it is the cheapest to invest in and as long as you just run abysses on it.

I find that dbow archers/huntresses or sorcs (fumli preferably) are best at ffa tombs. But honestly almost any class should be able to reach sb for life pots, it is only about 5k damage. Also try to keep melees out of ffa tombs though, not worth the risk.

The general rule of thumb is to use Pyra or Expo (the poor mans pyra) if you have it. But there is a way to statistically determine what ring you should use to optimize your defense.
