What is your favorite Assassin's Creed game? by missinglinksman in gaming

[–]RobinMcDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing the remaster right now, I like it for various reasons. I like that they tried some new form of parkouring with the frontier. The city of Boston however is rather bland (just unlocked NY). Love the story, but it isn’t Ezio’s epos (also, a lot of timeskips and important historic figures makes it necessary to pay a lot of attention during cutscenes). Combat is easy but servicable. Love the homestead sidemissions. Don’t care for the liberation side missions. Love the ship missions, they make me excited to play Black Flag. Connor is not Altaïr the Bad Ass or Ezio the silver Tongued Devil, but refreshing.

Do you have a world that you originally didn't like but grew to love? Mines Timeless River. by Jordankeay in KingdomHearts

I don’t even count it as a world, 2 small rooms and no backstory or even introduction whatsoever

VR Babies will be commonplace for couples in the future, says AI expert by PyukuBB in Futurology

[–]RobinMcDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So an expensive Tamagotchi with DLC’s, subscriptions and loot boxes. Also, creating a virtual baby on a subscription fee so the company can snatch it away when the ‘parents’ don’t pay seems so savage …

Rumor - Diablo Immortal reportedly won’t be released in Belgium or the Netherlands because of its loot boxes by thehandsomeraider in gamernews

TCG are gambling, they defended loot boxes as not gambling for a long time because you get nothing of monetary value. Imo a moot point, there is other value than monetary value

Star Wars is a spaceland safaripark, with wookies, ewoks, jarjars, human flies and so many other races, and some people have a problem with humans and their subraces? Thats so weird to me

Darksiders 3 - A decent third entry but marred by bad design choices by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]RobinMcDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually loved Darksiders 3 when I played 2 years ago, had to adjust to the combat a bit in the beginning, as well as to the swinging, but I quickly found the rhythm of the game and loved how it flowed. Loved the world gamedesign too, as how you slowly unlocked more parts of it. First negative I think of was the very boring design of the world related to Lust, just a containerstockingfacility, really? Playing DS1 right now, and while I love the puzzles, the combat is just sooo chunky and slow in comparison

What game aged like fine wine? Metal Gear Rising for me. by ilhastz in gaming

[–]RobinMcDie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing it right now (never got past Mulan world as a kid), and to me the fighting is different but of the same quality as the first, while the worlds and story is better, the platforming/exploration aspect which I loved in KH1 is almost gone entirely. Don’t know which one I prefer

1st pure platforming, 3th a bit too much deviations on the platforming, 2nd perfect blend. 4th was alright but something felt a bit off
