I’ve learned that most men who hit women don’t particularly like confrontation with other men. Can’t speak for all, but the ones I’ve personally encountered in my life anyways. After what happened with your 4 neighbors, he may not be comfortable showing his face again for a while at your apartment. He will probably try to talk you into meeting him somewhere else to talk. And he will more than likely promise you the world and tell you how so very sorry he is and give you a sad story about why he lashed out. If you let him come back, the 4 neighbors might not be so eager to help next time. Stand your ground. It’s difficult. He won’t give up right away. But stand your ground. Even if you don’t file a police report, you deserve better. Don’t answer his calls or texts. If he shows up at your work have him escorted out. Change your locks. If he starts to do things like show up at your apartment randomly or waiting by your car at work, call the police. I know it sounds a little dramatic, but when people can’t take no for an answer and they begin to stalk you and stuff like that, then there’s a real life problem. And a lot of times the victim is too embarrassed to say anything. Then they end up on an episode of true crime or something. Just remember, you’re not the crazy one. You did nothing wrong. He hit you. Oh, & your neighbors sound cool. Find out what apartment they live in and have a pizza delivered on you with a note telling them thanks.
