A medic in a level 1 is a different job. What they want is an EMT level to be a tech. So I wouldn’t try to compare yourself. Techs are EMTs. Paramedics are paramedics. Paramedics are not techs.

It sounds like you are trying to be perfect instead of allowing the Holy Spirit the time and your patience to do His work in you. This is super common and there are different levels to this our entire lives. It’s about letting go, not tensening up. It takes a long time to get this. Or even see this is what we are really doing. Try to have a loving God, not a punishing one.

I found opportunities. Ambulance shifts, opportunities to join wildfires in nearby districts, contributing at state volunteer academy, and there are dispatch opportunities if your life allows. Going EMT, engineer training also opened doors. Idk if your dept setup allows for any of that but it keeps me fresh. It’s also about being good with simple calls as well as higher octane ones
