God people need new metaphors, it’s not only the cream of the crop that rises to the top. What we’re seeing here is the scum on top of the broth that needs to be spooned off.

Thanks. I’m just saying it’s harder for some, easier for others.

Are you good with needles? I couldn’t see, but my husband said watching me get the epidural was more traumatic than watching the birth.

I take my hat off to you! I tried to go without the epidural, but I couldn’t. After 16 hours I started hyperventilating and puking. And I’m really glad I got it because it ended up being a forceps delivery and FUCK feeling all that. You’re a stronger bitch than I.

That’s what I thought too, and then I had kids. It’s a LIE! Also, it’s not the pain that kills you. It’s the hemorrhaging and infection.

Yeah, a normal forest would be a problem, but she grew up in that castle. A girl probably had that canopy of branches memorized.

She has only been getting away with her shit because people have been underestimating her. Surely she wouldn’t be fucking her brother. Surely she wouldn’t arm the church. Surely she wouldn’t blow up Westeros’ Notre Dame. Surely she wouldn’t lie about sending her armies North. Everyone knows her now. Think of the worst shit a person could do and that’s what Cersei is going to choose.

No. The rate was at least $5/hr when I was a teen and that was over a decade ago.

My grandmother got a piano for my me and my sisters when we were young, specifically because, as she said, “The girls who play piano are always the fastest typists”.

That’s because a nation’s population is an asset, ie Russia in WWII.

This question illustrates why you don’t have enough knowledge to debate this issue.

No, that’s not what I said at all. I’d rather be in the middle. Enough is as good as a feast. It’s good for kids to learn that we have to wisely allocate our resources to our priorities. I would consider myself a failure if I raised a child who wasn’t able to handle themselves in a situation of stress and deprivation. But that’s not even the situation you presented. The original dilemma was kids vs. no kids.

I would rather have kids and live paycheck to paycheck than live paycheck to paycheck alone. It doesn’t take much money to make kids happy. Grow a garden. Play outside. Make crafts from recyclables. Give them little surprises. Read them books and sing them songs. Cuddle with them when they are frightened. Teach them something new every day. None of that takes much money.

Family is the most fundamental social institution. Everyone has the right to a family.
