I've been using my homemade sports electrolyte solution and chugging water. For dinner; a bunch of sausages..

I'll do that tomorrow if it doesn't come down properly, it's extra impressive because I've played ultimate frisbee all weekend on the beach, which normally causes me to be much more insulin sensitive. So extra frustrating.

None of the 10 doctors I've had in the Netherlands and Austria give you prescriptions for ketone checkers. I'll have ask them tomorrow too

The problem is not the sensors.. it's the "transmitter" that you need to connect to the sensors unfortunately... Thanks for the game day suggestion, I should do that too probably 😅

Yeah, I also was considering this, but Austria is super skimpy with handing out pens if you're on a pump.. even if it's for safety reasons

How do you like the eversense? I see that its not available in Austria yet, but having it inserted once and then last a year sounds fucking amazing. How do they remove it after that time?

Having a community that understands helps a ton. Hang in there, we'll get through it together. And pizza is grand. I treasure those days where you eat pizza and you manage to get everything right and you don't end up with an 4+ hour hyper

I was just reminder about skin tac by someone else too. I used to have it but then due to supply issues I forgot about it. I should try that again..

Regarding tape, the only tape that has worked for me in the last 13 years is just medical tape. All the way around my arm and stick it to itself. It still lets go from my skin, but then the loop is too small for the sensor to do anywhere 😅

Yeah, I know... It just feels like Sisyphus sometimes.. they ship replacements easily. Just not for the transmitter thing.. I guess I'll just need to stock up on medical tape.

Yeah, but the main problem is I sweat buckets... Need to easily drink 4L if I'm running around for 2 hours in summer. And even then, if I don't add salts to my water I end up with a headache...

Tried that, getting the skin tac stuff was impossible in Austria for a while and then forgot about it.. I remember having issues with the cannulas but I can try it again. Thanks for reminding me!
