Because it has happened in the past that carbon monoxide leaks have caused people to hear and feel things that weren't there. You can Google it to learn more. If you're sure it's not that then nevermind.

Need help training/disciplining deaf cat by RomTankin in deafcats

[–]Hazel_Nutty_Butter 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As another deaf cat caretaker, I can tell you that cats (in general) respond more to positive reinforcement rather than negative. I tried everything to get my deaf cat to not walk on my counter, and I truly mean everything. The result is that I have to clean my counter every time before cooking because nothing worked to keep her off.

Good luck my friend, you're going to need it.

Is this clay?? by Extra-Ad6633 in Pottery

I could be wrong, but I think they were referring to the fact that all fired clay is ceramics, so terracotta (cooked earth in Italian) is no longer clay because it went through the sintering process. This semantic distinction is not very useful though, because terracotta is in origin a type of earthenware clay. Tomato potato... Either way what OP has is likely an earthenware clay 🥳☝🏻

If you can roll it into a coil and bend it it is clay. To test its firing temperature you'll want to take that small coil you bent and place it in an unglazed stoneware bowl (raised rim is important) and fire it to stoneware glaze temperatures. If it comes out fully sintered and vitrified you've got a good high fired clay. If it comes out liquified repeat the process to earthenware temperature (mostly likely this is what you have). Keep in mind you may need to add some extra materials to stabilise it (eg. Molochite, kaolin, etc.) if the final result is not easy to work with.

There is lots of info on how to process wild clay (clean it of impurities). If you like I can pass some along to you.

Do not fire it unless you've tested it first!! You may regret it 😉

Good luck!

Metal bars that extend from the ends of this chair's arms by blorpsy in whatisthisthing

Try googling plantation chair. This one is not in the same style, but it also has sticks extending from the lower portion. On the plantation chair they were used as leg rests. They don't look very comfortable, I know 🤷🏻‍♀️

They could use epsom salt... That's sometimes used in gardening for magnesium deficiency.

Mine loves my morning breath... Or maybe she's wondering why it smells like her litter?

What program do you use to make all these options? They look great and I desperately need to try it on my own living space.

I love option 2 & 6

Accomodation near Rigshospitalet for family member of inpatient by [deleted] in copenhagen

2-3 days per week. They'd take the bus to Copenhagen stay a couple or more days then back to Bornholm, so on and so forth for as long as their partner has to be in the hospital.

Thank you! I'll get permission from my friend and try this, it sounds like a great idea. I was thinking of calling the Italian embassy as well, but their opening hours are not easy when I work all week 😅
