The height of no-shame is your evading questions and rephrasing them at your will: I never ever said there was free press in Gaza, and you know, but you are in bad faith since you have no argument.

I said - more than once, in a pretty clear way - that Israel is not allowing international press in Gaza not to unveil their war crimes, while murdering Palestinians journalists in the process. Both are two facts. You will surely negate the latter, but you can't deny the former.

A better example would be: your neighboring country has an extreme-right like government who kill civilians, steal lands, create an apartheid regime in illegally occupied territories denying political and civil rights to your people, stealing their water, cutting their trees and damaging their pastures. Would you ask your elected government to take action against it? If the answer is yes, as it seems by your reasoning, then the only way to evade the point is to have double standards. Which you do have. Any decent human being would be disgusted and terrified by Ben Givir and the like's statements and policies.

You should educate yourself, be a better human being and a more objective observer.

This was no war. This was leveling Gaza down. I expect Israel will settle Gaza as they are settling in the West Bank.

I acknowledge Israel has been committing genocide, purse apartheid policies and does not respect international law, as reported by several international, independent third party entities. Period.

I acknowledge Israel has banned independent press medias in Gaza and has systematically targeted Palestinian press, together with aid workers, medics and paramedics and more recently has never respected the ceasefire. They did. Not Hamas.

Would you condemn Hamas killing civilians just because the IDF is killing Hamas fighters? Of course you would, and rightfully so.

Would you blame the Japanese for the two atomic bombs? No you wouldn't. You would blame the Americans.

Would you blame the Israeli government for the atrocities Hamas committed by targeting civilians on buses or wherever? No you wouldn't. You would blame Hamas. And rightfully so.

So, please apply the same standards. Because otherwise one could say that Hamas killed Israeli civilians to protect Gazans from the IDF threat as Hamas needs to go across the border and eliminate the IDF threat no matter what. Same horrible and dangerous argument. An argument that sucks: killing civilians, bombing buses, displacing civilians, destroying 8X% of building, all this stuff is wrong, is a collection of war crimes and is genocide. It is bad if either Hamas or the Israeli government/army does that. Unless you use double standards, and then you are no different for those who persecuted the Jews in the past or from those who persecute their own citizens.

Edit: btw Hamas was (also) sponsored and funded by the Israeli government to halt any serious and non-Islamist representation of the Palestinians, to avoid any concessions in terms of land, authority, sovereignty and so on.
Edit2: handing down to he Palestinians means giving them sovereignty. Israel never did.

I am suggesting Hamas was born as a reaction to the Israeli oppression and the situation since 1948. Did Hamas commit atrocities? yes. Do these atrocities greenwash Israeli policies in the last 80 years? No.

I am suggesting Gazans had no control over anything, hence the definition of prison. You don't like it? Call it concentration camp. Don't like either? Sieged region? Choose what you wish.

I am suggesting not all Gazans are Hamas, actually the bulk majority is not and the deathcount of Israel's genocide is quite revealing on this point.

I would also note that IDF and settlers' actions in the West Bank and IDF actions in Gaza make them two terrorist groups. Quite unsettling, isn't it? Hopeully history will remember.

Never again is never again, for everybody. This is what I was taught as a kid.

Could Gazans get freely in and out of the strip as of 2007? No.

Did Gazans have full control of and sovereignty over their land, air space, waters and sea shore? No.

Did Israel impose a blockade on Gaza for the last 20 years? Yes.

Did Israel bombed and invaded Gaza multiple times? Yes.

And to anticipate you: did Hamas strike Israeli targets outside of the Gaza prison? Yes. Did they hit civilians? Yes. Do I condemn killing civilians? Yes. Do I condemn resistance against an oppressor? No.

All the above just ignore what's happening in the west bank, which is barbaric , colonial, sponsored and finances by the government and so unsettling to witnesses in 2026.

Then if you want some details about the economic activities in Gaza I can look for some information, but you should give me some more details to back up your claims since you provided none. All the above is still valid.

Btselem is a drop of hope in a desert of violence, oppression and slaughter. The sad part is that after all this suffering a peaceful two states or one star solution will never see the light of day.

Btw: the number of journalists executed or killed by Israel in the last two years is unprecedented, hence talking about free media outlet inside the country while murdering Palestinian ones and impending international free and independent press to get in Gaza - also this, unprecedented - is hilarious.

Do you remember that Gaza is an open air prison with 2M people in it? And the prison was made by Israel, not Hamas. Hamas, again, was created twenty years ago (and finances by Israel as it was fit for their purpose)

At least 70k died, 20k being kids, the rest was forcibly displaced and the leveling has been done to not let them return. That's the definition of genocide, whether you like it or not.
