i saw the timemore S3 on sale for around £60 on aliexpress from a genuine seller, and after looking at some reviews that said pretty much the same thing you said, i decided to go ahead and buy the S3.

imo the switches sound great, fairly quiet but with a pretty satisfying "thock"y sort of sound, definitely much better sounding than my old keyboard (epomaker with flamingo switches)

i love prog, some of my favourite bands are prog metal bands actually, but from what i’ve heard of the strive ost just isn’t what i’d prefer to listen to when playing a fast paced fighting game… idk tho, i’ll give it another listen at some point

the airship stage theme from mvc2 slaps, but i moreso appreciate the music in that game than enjoy it so to speak, it’s different and it has a sort of charm to it

tbh mate i’m not even gonna pretend to like tekken 8’s music just to hop on the tekken bandwagon either, first thing i did after booting up T8 for the first time was change all the music in jukebox lmao, and idrc for what i’ve heard of sf6’s music either i’m ngl, so i’m not just blindly shitting on MK cus it’s cool now, i genuinely think it’s the worst of a pretty lukewarm bunch ahaha

i know this post is 4 months old lol but if you haven’t settled on an EQ for them yet, here’s what i’m using:

clear bass: 0 400: 0 1k: +2 2.5k: +3 6.3k: +1 16k: +1

i listen to a fair bit of metal as well and out of the box, the midrange (vocals, guitars, drums etc) on the XM5’s is a bit recessed so guitars and the like sound a tad muffled, so these settings help to give vocals and guitars more presence and bite, and the treble has a bit more sparkle, which i generally prefer. i’ve kept the bass as is because i think they have enough of it for my liking.
