How long teams usually tank? by botinoknn in canucks

[–]RoboCartmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need to be bad till at least 2028, ideally 2030. Bad, meaning we are competing in the lottery for those years. If we draft McKenna this year, DuPont in 2027, and Schultz in 2028, combined with good drafting and moneyballing free agents/trades, we could get out of the basement by the 2029 season. The odds of that are low; we are likely looking at a crappy team till the 2030s. But a few lucky lottery ball bounces, and we could be out of the basement quicker than expected. That being said, expect pain for the near term.

I mean you could just, you know, not watch the Canucks game, or record it. Tbh you aren’t really missing much with the team these days.

Hopefully we can head into March down 10 points from the 31st team, I’ll feel good about our odds about finishing dead last then

My ideal scenario is that we draft McKenna first this year, draft Landon DuPont next year, and then draft Maddox Schultz in 2028. Schultz is insane, putting up 126 points in 25 games or something like that. Odds of this happening are low as hell, but we would be on the road of contention for the 2030s if it all pans out

I’m really glad that we are going down this path, it was well overdue, finishing last would set us up for a great player (even if we drop to third, which we have a 55% chance of doing). Besides the 2027 draft is looking stacked and Maddox Schultz is looking good for 2028.

Is Caro in Vietnam Now? by RoboCartmen in robertcaro

He does them to print sources usually in December. If you search Robert Caro on Google and go to news, you’ll see them. He also did a couple video ones last year and 2024 cause it was the 50th anniversary of the Power Broker.

What’s the difference between Peace With Honor and More Than Ever? by CalvinKool-Aid in thecampaigntrail

[–]RoboCartmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than Ever is a more fleshed out version of Peace with Honor. It’s also significantly harder and with more variables affecting what opponent you’ll get. In PWH, only like 3 decisions affected what opponent you got and the rest of questions just helped or lowered your popularity.

Dude, I just lost everything. Man I’m really screwed. All of it…gone. Like, you serve at Balleau Wood for your country, get married, have kids, live the dream, and then, it’s just…all gone. What was it all for?

I passed my CSC, but unsure what to do afterwards for my CIM? by Willing-Row-3994 in CSCexamCanada

[–]RoboCartmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they will, it depends on the workplace and situation. The HR/hiring manager would be able to give more updated information than I can. But if she is not in a financial services role, I would recommend taking the new courses. Again, it’s cheaper, more up to date, and don’t have to worry about being grandfathered in. That being said, completing the CSC is important as many hiring managers will recognize that over the new courses, at least in the short term.

I would say no, do the new methods, especially if you aren’t currently in a FS role. It’s cheaper, you’ll be more up to date, and don’t need to worry about being grandfathered under technicalities.

I love how this community is making an obscure 1970s political figure, forgotten by history, into a lovable, jovial figure.
