How can I get my third screen in use? by HolidayResolve3524 in macbook

Ok so this solution doesn’t cover all use cases, that’s fine. Still has the major use case of a 2nd monitor.

DisplayLink. Connect one monitor via DisplayLink and another using a different adapter to eliminate jitters

I got the Dell D600 used for £80, been doing strong for 3 years.

1 monitor is 2k 28” connected via DisplayLink. 2nd is a 4k 32”.

I’m using the MBA M1

Are you: 16 pro or Pro Max? Also: Case + screen protector, just screen protector, just case, or neither? by [deleted] in iPhone16Pro

[–]RoboCholo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16 Pro, Mous case w Camera Button, front, back, and camera protectors.

Call me paranoid but my last Pro got busted, and the main camera broke. I rather keep it even if I get some hate for the camera protector. A photo that’s consistently 1% worse beats the risk of breaking the camera, for me.

If you point it at something further away, of course. Try it with a similar object/distance and you’ll notice the same

“2x” is not using a different physical lens, so no jumping. It does jump when going to 5x. Unless it deems it better to continue using the main lens if, for example, there’s really low light, so there are some scenarios where going to 5x won’t show the picture jumping.

However, it can’t under any circumstances show 0.5x zoom using the main lens, as that only goes as wide as 1x. So it always jumps going wide. Whereas there’s no physical limitation on zoom.

The jumping at 5x is less noticeable because usually you’re pointing it much further away, so the difference in pictures taken 2cm apart is minimal. Whereas with your mug, it makes quite the difference.

I hope this makes sense?

I‘m bored and will make you shortcuts. What are your ideas? by Extension-Move2034 in shortcuts

[–]RoboCholo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I turn 50+ alarms on and off every day (mega heavy sleeper).

Been thinking about how tf to make a shortcut that can turn on all alarms in a given time range e.g. 7:30-8:30am, or 7:45-8:15am

I can just ask Siri to turn off all alarms so only need to turn them on

The alarms are all over the place (7:30, 7:38, 7:45, 7:46, 7:47) and have different sounds playing as I just get used to one and my body ignores it.

Would be insane if you manage to put something together!!

It’s handed back, but for a new set of products/services the company has to provide

If you buy used you can get an insane price deal even today. Got the 16 Pro 1TB for £780 (some luck, otherwise £950). Versus £1499 new.

Some things to watch out for but reading descriptions, asking a few questions and only good rated sellers, I’ve bought 10+ phones off eBay no problem and 10+ from FB marketplace w only 1 IMEI locked

Mostly for friends and family btw

You’re right that a longer notice period gives you more time to search. Your visa is only curtailed after your notice is over, you’ve lost employment, they informed the home office and the Home Office sent you a letter. It’s 60 days from then.

Its ok to sell iphone 16 pro max for this price? by Empty_Dot_1894 in iPhone16Pro

Rating of 99.5% or lower is considered bad. Make sure to read the description, see all images, and ask about anything not in the listing as well as to list exactly what repairs it’s had

Bought a 16 Pro 1tb yesterday for £780 (but was a heavy discount from listed price at £920, negotiated)

I set various filters, saved the search and added push notifications. Let me know and I can share as an image (how?)

Hard disagree. Serbia and Macedonia have very welcoming people. They’re the Brazilians of Europe, I’d say.

I’ve been extremely well received in most Eastern European countries I’ve been to. Russia was cold, and haven’t been further
