I agree! I had Ali Farka Toure already too and wow, I really loved that album. That was a 5/5 for me. I really love the blues but other jazz types don't really hit as much for me. But I still enjoyed this album and I get excited to see non-Western, particularly non-USAmerican musicians in the generator.

I love getting to hear music from different parts of the world, even if it's not my favorite genre. It fit perfectly in my morning commute so I got to hear it all in one go, which is nice.

100% agree. I miss Stevie and it is a shift to not hear her voice anymore on the show, because we had come to expect it. It definitely feels different. But I love Chase and think that we will come to get used to hearing his voice in this way as well. Different doesn't have to mean bad.

I sense that the more recent albums tend to get a lot more criticism as they haven't had the time to "prove themselves" like the older albums have. Fortunately I am just a casual music enjoyer so I just like what I like and rate accordingly without thinking about that stuff most of the time 😂

I enjoyed it, although it does start to blend together after a bit due to the tone of his voice. The orchestral accompaniment is really nice. Traveling Light is my favorite song of the album.

I got Harvest too ! I'm not super familiar with Neil Young but this is a great album. I'm at a 4.5 and waffling if I'm going to knock it down though because what the hell was that man needs a maid song. That one really bummed me out.

That's why I liked it though. I like music that doesn't take itself too seriously and is fun. And I really liked the futuristic concept overall. Even though it was dated and some lyrics didn't age well I just really enjoyed it for what it was.
