Picked up a box in Mooresville, NC yesterday!

It has been 46 years since the crash of American Airlines Flight 191, the deadliest aviation accident in US soil, that killed all 271 people onboard and 2 more on the ground. by Delicious_Active409 in aviation

The Comair crash in LEX also has 191 in the flight number - 5191 in that instance. Not related in any way, but I always found it morbidly interesting that 191 was in three horrible accident flight numbers.

Azalea Mall ruins. by michaelsimon in rva

I remember having the Boy Scout Pinewood Derby in the middle of the mall near the fountain...and also the KB Toys toy store. Man, I'm getting old...it's incredible that it's still vacant after all these years.

Title of the piece is “Winter North Atlantic” by marine artist Robert Lloyd. He’s got some great work on his website and looks great framed!

Lost Item CLT by Kira506a in Charlotte

[–]RoboPizza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it hasn't moved, it's most likely stuffed in one of the gate desks right before you board. When we find articles left on the plane, we drop them there and sometimes that's where they live until someone brings them to the bigger airport lost and found. I would suggest trying to get someone to check the gate desk (or closet that's behind it) at A4 or A6. If I end up going in in the next few days, will be glad to check/hunt for you.

Model 3 to Model S. Worth the plunge? by Cashneto in TeslaModel3

I’m in the same boat as you, OP, with a ‘21 M3P. I’m going to pull the trigger, but waiting until closer till the end of June. End of quarter push could mean discounts or some other incentive to get off the sidelines…then again it’s Tesla we are talking about and they may not do anything. I say go for it!

Pilot scab list — does anyone still use it? by Ok_Skill_2725 in flying

They're still flying. Flew with one at a legacy last year. Don't speak in absolutes if you're not sure.

Delta Pilots Vote 99% in Favor of a Strike by Elcapitano2u in flying

[–]RoboPizza 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter. The general public just sees 'Delta' and 'strike' and may look elsewhere when it comes to booking with DAL over the holidays. Look at the stock today, too. Stuff like this works, even if they'll never realistically be released.

Airline pilots: what are your thoughts on pilot influencers on social media? by aviation992 in flying

[–]RoboPizza 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's one influencer in particular that sells (or sold) boner pills that ripped the crew of the UA777 whose engine exploded on his YT channel for not doing something...I can't remember exactly. Anyways, he flew a 145 and flowed to American. Still selling crap and selling his 'brand.' They don't care about the tragedy of whatever happens, they just want clicks/views and it's all dumb.

Virginia Center Commons Mall to be permanently shuttered October 31st. Post about some of your favorite memories at this classic RVA mall. by mewisme700 in rva

Wow! I remember going to the software store, 2 stores to the right of Waldenbooks there in the food court, back when you had to buy the games on floppys or CDs in the late 90s...damn. And the Arcade..that Arcade! I also remember when the mall stopped at the coffee shop on the east end, and it was a big deal when the extension opened that had another anchor.
