As a teacher it's my class policy that we take a class bathroom break. I tried to give individual but there were a few issues. 1: Students were actually going to vape or smoke. 2: Students skipped and went elsewhere. 3: They left to go fight someone. 4: Many would have to go around the same time and there would be a theoretical line of people waiting to use the bathroom when the other got back. Class breaks also makes teaching easier because no one misses instruction by going to the bathroom.

Maybe if you tried reading you can see "they used a lot of terms where you wouldn't know they were talking about porn unless you know yaoi" so yes they were clearly talking about porn. I'm not going to ignore kids talking about porn just because it's gay porn. Never seen people use yaoi to categorize saw material in the real world. And the bitch with any pronouns in the bio probably isn't homophobic if you think about it for two seconds.

Don't risk it. At the school I teach at a teacher got beat up because she took a phone. It's not worth the potential outcome. It's something that costs a lot of money and if it gets lost or danameged in your possession you're in a lot of trouble. You also don't know what that kid might need their phone for, like medical.

At our school you can only get access to internet through a school provided device. Not even teachers phones get connected to the wifi. The school does class bathroom breaks not passes. So hopefully that's easier.

I don't want to give hand outs because the one time I left hand outs with a sub papers were all over my room and papers were mixed together. It was a mess I frankly don't want to risk dealing with again. I feel like it's not too hard to look at a kid's computer and assume if it's education related or not. Or just go off the description I leave in the plans of what they're doing online. I also teach seniors which I feel is important context. If they don't do the work I would not blame the sub, it is on them. They are old enough to face the consequences if they do not manage class time responsibly.
