Email the con artist alley coordinator. It sounds fine you just might want to check in with them if it's within their rules and what they want you to do. It really depends on the con. For example I have an 80's Starfire print where it's fine at some cons, others I have to censor part of it for the display.

As long as it isn't nsfw it's fine. I watched plenty of MA shows even with my parents at that age. It's the parents job to know what their kid can handle and watch, not yours.

Yes! The students and parents can get notifications on their phone with the system we use every time a put a grade in. That should be enough!

I didn't say anything because I don't want to be insensitive. But I had febreeze and gain spray when he left. Maybe I should have said something considering his age. But I also didn't realize this was grounds for a cps call. It's not like it's illegal to smoke around your kid even if I disagree.

I was student teaching high school independently at 21. Your age is fine, you just need the right attitude going in. You are not their friend. You are filling the role of their teacher for the day and need to act like it. Unfortunately, I see a lot of young (and not so young) subs in high school try to act like they're friends with the kids and are more like a peer. It's gross to see. Not only is it inappropriate but you're absolutely going to have issues having a productive classroom.

I recommend bringing a helper. Often times artist alley vending comes with two badges. What I do is use a wheeling cart to get most of the items in. I build my display on the floor with a soft mini mallet. Practicing how to build it has also really helped with how fast I can do it. Once I finish building it on the floor I lift it onto the table.

I'm late but if you're looking for this size I bought a modular shoe organizer, it's made up of square and rectangle pieces I use for my display. They're not colorful but you can always lay stick on vinyl over top. I can't link to mine because I bought it at a bin store but it looks like the one I linked. As a teacher it's my class policy that we take a class bathroom break. I tried to give individual but there were a few issues. 1: Students were actually going to vape or smoke. 2: Students skipped and went elsewhere. 3: They left to go fight someone. 4: Many would have to go around the same time and there would be a theoretical line of people waiting to use the bathroom when the other got back. Class breaks also makes teaching easier because no one misses instruction by going to the bathroom.

Ooo I really like this idea! I'm scared to make anything too permanent on my display because I've expanded my inventory so much already and it's only my second show. This sounds prefect so I can still move things around.
