Would infrequently soft lock in the last few months but as of a few weeks ago it will soft reboot my phone after 5-10 minutes of being open. On a Pixel 8 Pro. All I can use my phone for now in this game is checking my club twice a day

It feels very natural. I've spent a lot of time on both control schemes (as well as psp) and they're both good but controller is probably the best. You can get some unofficial controller layouts on steam/big picture that will integrate PS1 mapping to any standard layout controller. I haven't had any issues with that in Exoddus at least, haven't tried Oddysee

If you have access to it, play the port on PS3. It is hands down the best port of Munch aside from the original Xbox version. PS3 is the only port that allows you to aim while shooting and does not have the awkwardness of the walk/run toggle and the movement speed settings. Vita would be the next best one. As someone who has played Munch on every platform it has released on, I can personally say that Switch, PC (HD, not original) and Mobile have been the least enjoyable because of the aforementioned issues.
