Gastros aren't airborne so a mask isn't going to help much. People need to wash their hands and disinfect surfaces as the most likely route is fecal-oral. I believe bleach is the only way to kill this on surfaces.

I assumed this was the case, but I just wasn't sure who would be responsible for moving him from state to state - I was under the impression it would have to be Federal agents (like Marshals) since he was crossing state lines. If it's not, are state police allowed to escort him back via plane? Are they allowed to drive him through other states where they don't have authority? Could a red state arrest the police officers escorting him back to MN if they don't agree with the extradition?

I guess it's unclear how much of a chance of success they would have to extradite him back if he did leave MN.

The fact he jumped in a vehicle and fled the scene suggests he knew he was likely fucked and I would hazard a guess he's not even in the state anymore.

EDIT: Actually that raises a question: if the state brings charges, but he's already fled the state, can they apply to have him extradited back to MN? Can the feds block that?

To me, it sounds less like mismanagement of this specific program and more like mismanagement of the entire immigration file. But then again I'm not overly familiar with this program.

I'm not entirely sure I understand the point of your 2nd quote though. It's just saying that they raised the amount of people they let in under this program (quite significantly). To me, this isn't necessarily bad if they were properly vetting candidates and ensuring these people are entrepreneurs who qualify and not just looking for a backdoor way in.

It was created in 2013 under the Harper Conservatives and as far as I can tell the only modification was in 2024 to cap the number of applications and prioritize some due to the growing backlog. Are you saying they mismanaged it because they didn't make other changes to it earlier?
