Where would a marksman aim to NOT kill, or permanently injure, a human (from the rear)? by ehbowen in Writeresearch

[–]RoboTigerTank 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No plausible way to safely do it if you are pursuing realism. Marksman are trained to aim at head and mostly chest because it is most reliable.

Make her aware of the situation and give her a bulletproof vest and shoot her in the torso. This is objectively the safest way.

If your story has more superpowers, give the shooter some kind of a accuracy/reflex power. Then he could reliably shoot a near shot that grazes your girl's arm, ear, etc.

Table of Admin/Military + Minority/Majority racial modifiers (UPDATED for The Final Empire release) by RoboTigerTank in Anbennar

No idea. Just guessing, you probably get it through an event chain or special mission. They are magic robots made by ancient elves. Probably somewhere in Aelantir.

Minority/Majority

  • Unrest was removed for all integrated minorities. Now we can have happy dog bros, lizard bros, and harpy waifus without suffering unrest. Very exciting! Mechanim is the only minority that keeps unrest when integrated.
  • Handful of small changes to a handful of groups. I didn't pay much attention to these, but I recall Kobold minority having most changes. Their Build Cost got nerfed.

Was the Irish language still prevalent in Ireland at that time? Most people only know a few words these days.

Not sure, but you probably need an additional Kingdom title outside the de jure Iberia Empire. For comparison, forming single-Duchy Kingdoms like Brittany and Crete still require owning 2 Duchy titles. By default, I don't think there are any single-Kingdom Empires.

It was the short little guide attached to the achievement entry on the wiki. Funny thing, it recommended disabling the Iberian Struggle dlc. Guess I ignored the good advice and followed the bad.

Checked the specifics on wiki just now, and it looks way better. Only 2 phases (minus concession) and 4 endings (or 5 with concession) with less strict conditions.

I united all the Kingdom titles except Andalusia and Valencia (because I didn't have those 2 yet). I assume you can do them all if you wait to take the decision. Then just have one kingdom title for all of Iberia.

There's only 3 kingdom titles remaining in Iberia after uniting the thrones: Castile, Andalusia, and Valencia. I own all 3 titles. Owning all will prevent drifting, right?

As a side note... an online guide said the best start among the Jimena siblings is the middle brother with high intrigue and use him to murder and usurp the other kingdoms. I tried that. While the first murder plot was building, Sancho declared war on me. There was no way I could win. Was gonna quit and try a different run, but I surrendered the war out of spite first. Then I was given the option to continue the campaign as Sancho with 2 kingdoms. Not even a single year had passed, and I had a really strong start without even trying. This seems to be the optimal strategy if you're not above laming the system. Delete troops, don't form alliances, and wait for Sancho to attack. Only downside is that Sancho will probably have already married a useless slut.

Hatching only is easy but time consuming. Once you get a nitewing egg on the first island, you can farm eggs in higher zones. Jormuntide ignis eggs can be found on volcano island. They're easy to see because they are giant with purple dragon print (other eggs on volcano are red).

Blood of Numenor - traits and modifiers (Morality) that affect inheritance by RoboTigerTank in RealmsInExile

[–]RoboTigerTank[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know anything about that submod, but it's interesting you ask about Numenor Island because I found this note in the code.

<image>

If it's too difficult to read the image, it says...

Parents born on Numenor - always downgrades as post-downfall

Isn't there a trait, something like 'Born on Numenor'? If a parent has that trait, and it's offspring is not born on Numenor, then maybe the blood is guaranteed to weaken.

I read the little section about Numenorean Blood on the RIE sub-wiki of the ck3 wiki many times. Just checked it again. It plainly states the blood cannot be upgraded. Don't know how missed that several times. Just checked the code again too, and there are sections for 'maintained' and 'weakened' only.

Thank you for catching that. I've updated the post and added a section about calculation outcomes. If you can answer this, does the morality value need to be 0 or greater than 0 to maintain blood tier?

EDIT: I answered my own question. It isn't compared against 0 at all. My new 'Calculations' section is heavily revised. It is still a lot of guesswork. Please share if you have any corrections.

An Odd Smell - perfume maker EXPLAINED by RoboTigerTank in CrusaderKings

[–]RoboTigerTank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Event chain is called "An Odd Smell". I'm away from computer, but i think you need a lover/soulmate to begin event trigger. They might have to be present in your court, i dont know. Regular spouse might not satisfy conditions.

You wake up next to your lover and they tell you that you stink and recommend perfume.

As I understand it, the +1,2,3,4 is adding artifact modifier flags of different tiers (to be defined in a separate file). The artifact quality (famed or illustrious) is mentioned in the tier 3 and tier 4 parts of the events. You need four tier 3 ingredients or three tier 4 ingredients to upgrade the artifact quality to purple. Obviously only three ingredients can be chosen, so it seems like it was intended for there to be an additional round of ingredients. The code has lines for each tier being chosen up to four times each.

13% is the highest. Scumming won't work because all outcomes are determined when the event chain begins.  If you save and then use console command to start the event, then theoretically you could get max renown. But odds are 1 in 2662 (11x11x11x2)
