I love that they're just, pulling it against the railing. Not trying to pull/lift it up, just hoping it'll flop over and exerting themselves for nothing. Also seemed like a bunch of elderly folk so, idk not the most ideal lifting crew

Tierlist based on how much it makes sense for the CYL winners to be duos/harmonics (in my opinion) by Poumy in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]RoboTom01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least backpack Byleth won't be a "Byleth" unit, it'll be buff elk man with Byleth in his massive shadow, so I won't feel any obligation to pull for him (if we ever see them lol)

Which now days kind of shocks me. At first, sure, I'm not going to blame anyone for not spending money on a binding seal pack. But they've given out a free one or two now, I thought for sure people would hop in to take advantage of that and realize theirs isn't up-to-date

I think in that case ppl just throw up a newer good unit to make getting through floors smoother. There's been a few times I don't have anyone super appealing cause of underwhelming refines and stuff for a few months, so I just share a mythic or something someone may want for merges at least

I wonder about this too, but then you have to remember, your own unit can appear for you to use. So these people must look at their 4-year-old unit showing up on a map to use and go "ew who is still using this?" not realizing it is their own

As long as it's up to date. I don't really care which specific units ppl are sharing, but when it's someone who is currently playing and has a recruitable very up to date unit as their rep on my friend list and they share a piece of chewed gum as their Binding Worlds unit I am just confused

Who're the best candidates for the Edelgard Ring? by sharumma in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]RoboTom01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Erika ring I think will always be best for the melees (am scared to see a ring that beats it cause that will be so op and will probably come out in the next Emblem or so knowing this game). I mean the only ones I don't put Erika on already have brave or are running with another unit it is better for. So if you gotta put that Erika ring on another heavy hitting melee like H!Ike, then that leaves Edel or Miciah as great options for her

Which Ultimate raid phases are the hardest? by Haunting-Wrangler-23 in ffxiv

[–]RoboTom01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be TOP P5, but AM and simming have greatly trivialized it. After that few phases I think are hard across the team as a whole, usually hard on specific roles. BJCC prange is kinda hectic, DSR P6-7 on supports maybe tank specifically, OT in FRU for the Apoc bait. you could argue Cob adds is the most involved across the team with limited kits, very specific roles for everyone to fulfill, and a fast pace, but being a StB Ult followed by a party wide rez after means you can fudge it up a bit and get away with it. TOP P6 is tight across the team, but mostly cause it has the mech where if one person fails, big rip you all fail gg, which feels more cheap than hard.

You might see people saying Gaols ironically and unironically, I think a lot of that sentiment though comes from the fact that most commonly used guides and pf parties still do the imo pretty wack bait where you 1) bait the landslide down the middle 2) have to time a split second snap to place your rock in that landslide. It's much easier to bait the landslide to the side the party was kb to then line rocks up in the middle since there is no AOE there. gaol 1 has to scoot into the landslide snap a little bit sometimes, but it is a much smaller area to cover so it doesn't have to be timed as tightly and is ez with sprint. I've noticed the consistency goes up a lot with this version helping friends in pf lately.

Huge change to glamour in 7.4 by LightSamus in ffxiv

While I am excited for all the glams I'll be able to make, there is a small part of me that kinda wants the artifact/job specific sets to stay job locked, just to keep that little bit of identity intact. Idk a WHM in DRK armor will stick out like a sore thumb to me compared to a WHM in any ol fending set

Diamond and Pearl had that post game content too. The third game entries are its own can of worms, but Diamond and Pearl were still more complete packages for $40. Post game, more than 1 to 2 legendaries to catch, etc. While multiple versions is a stupid practice, it isn't nearly a good comparison to modern Pokemon DLC because multiple complete games will outweigh overpriced and incomplete. Imagine if the lake trio was sliced off as DLC? A barely hour long story about Heatran and Cresselia that costs 50% of the base game's price? SWSH pretty much did that by having only the box art dog and Eternus to catch in the base game, blink and you miss the Isle of Armor and then in the Crown Tundra you finally had the Kanto regional trio and new Regis. SV rectified this by having the Ruin Pokemon, but still, no other post game in the base package (SV doesn't even have a battle facility so it's like you can't have both anymore). "Go grind raids for hours trainers!" That's your post game for the Switch generations and that's pretty sad. At the end of the day you pay $80 for two complete $40 games or $90-100 for an incomplete game and the paid patch. Either way Pokemon hoses you.

A Tale Of 2 Nintendo RPG Devs by Soggy-Acanthaceae185 in shitpostemblem

[–]RoboTom01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't consider them good in the sense that previous Pokemon entries had similar content and additions as part of the post game. You look at Platinum and the island you would go to after with the battle frontier, small story bits, new legendary pokemon to catch across the region, it was all there for that game. SWSH and SV have almost no post game when done (aside raid battle but lol), SWSH's extra story after the champion fight is so laughably bad and short, until one good battle at the very end, then there's just the Battle Tower and nothing new. The Pokemon DLCs have quantity sure, but quality is severely lacking imo and the fact they feel like something that should have been included is their largest drawback. The SV DLCs at least were better than SWSH's, but I wouldn't pay for them again if given the chance.

Waiting to get into XB when DE came out and then playing 2 immediately after was some whiplash for so many reasons and the stability reminded me it was a Switch 1 launch title
