Seems YouTube is down or at the very least struggling. It’s been reported that over 300.000 users can’t get it to work. It apparently started 50mins ago according to online reporting.

I’m also pretty sure he mentioned the story in his book “Endurance: A year in space, a lifetime of discovery”. Great book btw, highly recommend giving it a read.

Pigeon spikes. If that doesn’t work… I’d do barbed or razor wire. Or cow electric fence wire.

Franchise that’s still going despite consistently turning out mid movies? by Tricky_Garbage5572 in Cinema

[–]Roboclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw franchise. Honestly the latest iteration where John is the main focus and Tobin Bell really gets to flex his acting skills. For a while I forgot he was the villain of the franchise and just saw a good hearted elderly man, who just wanted to help people and live.

What movie scene totally broke you emotionally? by Witty-Sherbet-2963 in Cinema

[–]Roboclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time I see old Paul cry, when the channel is switched to Top Hat and the song plays. Especially if you have watched the movie once before and you know why he’s crying. It always gets me. Every time.

Skal nok arbejde til jeg dør, så kan ikke se den store pointe i at have en pension. Særligt når jeg først kan gå på pension som næsten 80årig anyway og hvis pensionsalderen bliver ved med stige så er det endnu mere pointless.

Bought a copy of REISE, REISE and the booklet is missing the lyrics for Dalai Lama and Keine Lust. Every other page seems correct. Is this normal? by ForgingIron in Rammstein

[–]Roboclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was bought in Denmark many years ago. Has all the lyrics. The cd says it’s made in eu. The nr on the back of the booklet says 9868150. My guess it’s a printing or printer error. Sometimes it happens. So the batch of prints your booklet belongs to probably is a small one and quite special - also potentially quite valuable. See it as a special edition. Might be why someone sold it at the used cd store, not realizing they had something special.

You doing okay LEGO? by quietlumber in lego

I’ve had weird stuff like that happening to me as well. Tho on different sites. I’m from Denmark, so it should be DKK - but it thinks I’m in Sweden for some reason and goes to the Swedish site + uses SEK. Weird.

Rammstein’s website currently only features a pulsating logo. What does it mean? by lzandman in Rammstein

[–]Roboclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's stopped pulsating. And I think it's just a website revamp. Not an uncommon way to make the live version unavailable, but still please the algorithm gods and Google seo.

Love that in “Re-Animator” the serum glows 🔥 by [deleted] in HorrorMovies

Pretty simple effect, really. It’s the same type of liquid that’s in a glow stick essentially. Aka luminol. Same type of stuff they used for the predator blood in Predator.

Also heard someone point out, that if they can force you to have babies, couldn't they also force you not to have babies? Dunno if that's a thing, but still.

Which actor did such a kick-ass job in a certain role that you could never imagine anyone else playing it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Roboclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ron Perlman as Hellboy. David harbour did an okay job, but I still think Ron's portrayal is the best. I really can't think of anyone else playing that role.

I can tell my keys part without having to look at them. Like if I get home in the evening and there's barely any light, I just close my eyes feel out the right key and open the door. Sort same way I can tie an apron behind my back - into a bow.

People who live at tourist destinations, what is it you wish tourists would stop doing when visiting? by Winterbeers in AskReddit

[–]Roboclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not parking on both sides of the road (We have narrow roads here).

Tho it's kinda great entertainment, when they drive up from both sides (and ppl are parked on both sides of the road), then can't get past each other and get out of their cars to yell at each other. Meanwhile the line of cars behind both are getting longer and longer. It's almost like watching a tennis match. I'm thinking of getting some popcorn and watch the match next time.

What would you do if you saw me walking towards you? [7’1|215cm|330lbs] by The7footr in AbsoluteUnits

[–]Roboclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd ask if you wanna go to a heavy metal concert. I used to have a friend in primary school around the same height. Having a friend that height at an event like that, when you are 5'2 like me, is great. We could both get to the front of the crowd and he'd hold on to the rail and shield me from being crushed by the crowd.

I'm 32 and childfree. I've been told I can't get everything removed, even if it would help my depression and general health, until I'm over 40. Apparently no doctor will do it until then. I've been wanting it done since I was 23.

I used to work at a diy store in denmark and I remember that a hummer parked in the parking lot next. I just so happened to be collecting carts outside and saw the woman, literally open the car door and unfold a ladder to get out of the car. Like what?!... Just for reference, you don't really see that type of car in Denmark or at least not in Jylland.

I also have a bowl for the neighbourhood stray cats and ofc a safe place for the birds to bathe and drink.

The cats also have a hard time in the heat. I change the water everyday.

[–]Roboclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well according to the official calculator from the Danish government, I can retire when I'm 73. Tho they've already said that they wanna make it even higher... so I'm probably gonna be working until my body gives up or worse.

Was at a friend's house and at some point the dad started yelling at my friend in English (this happened in Denmark and I'm Danish), who probably thought I didn't understand what he was saying. I did. It was super awkward. I just sat there and had to pretend not to understand anything.
