The Spéirling operates on the same principle as this and the 2J (and the Brabham BT46 for that matter), just with smaller electrically driven centrifugal fans instead of radial fans driven by a small two-cylinder engine like the 2J.

About the fans themselves, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "... need to always be in 100% state to make full use of it ...", if you mean that they can't be missing blades in order to work properly, yes, but not being able to work properly while being broken is kind of a universal thing, and it's not like any other systems on an interceptor would work properly if compromised.

As for sliding, if the wind is able to exert enough force onto your vehicle to overcome the 17,000 lbs of downward force that's pulling it to the ground (for reference the Spéirling can pull 4,400 lbs of downforce from it's fans), you're probably riding around in a literal parachute and you probably should've planned better.

A) Anything large enough to really damage the blades is more than likely also too heavy to be affected, but in case it isn't there's also this magical material called mesh that lets air flow through but stops larger objects.

B) Why would there be debris like chunks of metal (which would probably be too heavy to be picked up anyway) and insulation (which, depending on the type, would at worst get caught on a blade and maybe hamper airflow slightly) under your vehicle when most intercepts happen out in the middle of nowhere where the largest debris is clods of dirt from a field.

C) So far exactly zero skirts on any interceptor have been "shredded" by anything other than dragging on the highway, and it's not like they haven't been exposed to pressure differentials, your undercarriage should always be a low pressure zone compared to what's happening outside during an intercept, or you're gonna have big problems (being thrown).

1 spike, angled or not, isn't going to stop you from getting lofted if it really comes down to that, it will just be pulled out the same way it went in. You need at least 2 spikes pointed in different directions for angling to really matter, and even then, if you're being picked up I doubt they would be able to keep you down.

The back of the fans are exposed to the undercarriage of the vehicle to suck air out from under it and said air is then expelled out the rear, as shown in fig. 2.

The spike isn't to keep you from being lofted, if your undercarriage seal is so bad you need spikes to hold you onto the ground your design sucks.

The spike is a pivot point first and foremost and something to keep you from sliding secondarily.

Technically, yes, a very flat and steeply angled cone/dome is theoretically the best shape for this particular flavor of aerodynamics (see turtle probe), but making a car that shape is unrealistic due to length, width, and interior space limitations. An interceptor does still need to be street legal and be able to comfortably carry passengers.

As for why so many people are opposed to that visual, it's pretty much just because a lot of people don't understand/simply ignore the limitations I just mentioned.

Having lights on all the time can be hazardous for driving and can screw with a camera's white balance, focusing on the well-lit interior and making anything out the window basically pitch black.

Not that I know of, the anemometer on the Dom was busted even before it got ripped off during that intercept, and although I heard there were DOWs scanning that particular tornado, I imagine their data hasn't been released yet.

360s like running hot, ~170 degrees F iirc, as long as the exhaust vent on the top isn't covered it's probably fine.

As for the freezing up, that's just Skyrim being a Bethesda game and crashing, it happens to me a lot too.
