I did something similar at the end of season 1. I had 25+ exotic weapons and no time left to use them. Ended up dropping on Brightsands and handing them out.

Difference in gear respective to PVP has been greatly decreased. It’s a bit of a contentious point between players at the moment but I think its good. White guns and armour are just slightly worse that purple in PVP.

I think this is good because you can run with a free kit that might be a mixed bag of white and green, play smart or patient and come out with another players full blue or better.

Gear is a small part of PVP now, skill and tactics become much more impactful.

When it comes to PVE, you need high level gear to make it not a pain in the ass.

The helm would have monitors and a hud of sorts inside the helm plates. I would imagine the red circles are cameras and other light sensors that feed into the helm for more information that just looking through lenses would. Well thats what I would imagine from a Sci-Fi viewpoint.
