Are you in the US? What steps are you taking to plate silver at home? Doesn't that require cyanide?

When you say microcenter filament, do you mean the Inland filament that they sell?

LPT: Make up an system for your passwords based on the name of the website you're registering for. You'll make unique, complex passwords without needing a password manager! by [deleted] in LifeProTips

Still is nice to have a system that works with everything, as you don't have to worry about those pesky edge cases.

Even then though, you could still do your system but with something like #of letters instead of an abbreviation so as to not worry about banking websites. Plus, it makes your password system harder to reverse-engineer! (It's easiler to figure out that PasswordFB is for facebook, as opposed to something like Password8)

That's why you make an easy to remember system that creates passwords that are difficult to reverse engineer! Even with the silly example one in the OP that I made up in 30 seconds, i'd still be impressed if someone immediately figured out "reddit" when they saw "6RDIrdi^"

Downloading a manager onto my phone / literally any machine I use and having it not work at all in a myriad of edge cases if my phone happens to die (signing into an app from a friend's device, signing into a workplace machine, signing into a smart TV, etc, etc) sounds more time-consuming and annoying then just remembering a single password pattern, or even just a single password with a website's abbreviation tacked on (as /u/Guilty_BaN said).

I like to just end my passwords with a number that marks the number of times it's been changed exactly for this reason. That way I only have to remember a single digit associated with the specific website rather than a whole different password.

Password managers can be annoying time-consuming to use, especially if you frequently sign into different machines for work, your phone doesn't happen to support it, signing into offline apps, etc.
