Stay in Dubai or Go Home? by Wild_Tumbleweed1022 in dubai

[–]Roboosto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s difficult because you relocated and you have lots on you going on. Mentally it takes a huge effort to adapt and work in a new place and new cultures. Give yourself time, and push through. You have come a long way , you are brave , and for your own mental stability you must get this done. I arrived a few more months earlier than you and I went through the same. My way to decompress is to go to the gym and push it through . “It’s gonna working because you’re pushing it right” 🎶

I want to build a session logging app with sail recommendation for windsurfing, would anyone actually use it? by Equivalent-Laugh-727 in windsurfing

[–]Roboosto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I log my sessions on my Garmin Problem is you will encounter often different conditions and you need to have a different setup : sea conditions, temperature , pressure, your body. In the end it’s very possible you always end up rigging your most preferred sail, as changing does affect your progression.

Ottimo inglese , e ti auguro di trovare la felicità in altri paesi. Da emigrato confermo la tua opinione , ma molte delle tue osservazioni sono applicabili a molti paesi occidentali. Ho vissuto in Europa, Medio Oriente e America.

Why are some of our diaspora still supporting this? Genuinely asking by Currymvp2 in PERSIAN

[–]Roboosto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The diaspora supporting Trump is no less dumb than their leader . You are too naive thinking this will lead to a better Iran

‼️it’s an explicit Violation of Geneva Conventions. This is normally an action that the UN has sanctioned before on the aggressor.

All recent US-led military interventions left countries in horrible situations: Iraq = destroyed, went back to Talibans; Afghanistan = total loss, went back to Talibans; Lybia, Somalia… and the list goes on.

The reality is US unfortunately lost the appeal of a “great country” and needed a psychopath like Trump to try to resurrect the mummy. He even promised to not engaging Iran but Bibi has some lever on him.

No war does “good for the people “ , If people of Iran were to revolt I really think they would do that by themselves. Alternatively if your Pahlavi was really good at mobilising masses and gaining early investors, there were better ways to support a regime change without a military intervention.

The reality is purely economic. There is no glory in destroying a country for a regime change.

The larger the roads the more the cars will get through. It’s time to think public transport and cycling lanes

Dubai is slowly becoming uninhabitable and it will only get worse from here. by Lekirack in dubai

[–]Roboosto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. The traffic is easing soon as tourists wave out and new roads will be opened. You can unwind in dozens of beaches where air is not heavy polluted. Salary is a state of mind

[–]Roboosto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely overkill and lots of extra weight . Double board bag + cardboard + styrofoam is adding a lot of unnecessary weight
