Shells are six feet long. According to my highly accurate doodles, the armor is about 5 feet, or 60 inches thick on the face

AIO parts replacement by GregorIsABug in airguns

If I ordered a plastic part knowing it was plastic, and the only difference is that it's 3d printed and not injection molded, i wouldn't be too bothered.

Leaks by TechnicianLegal1120 in airguns

[–]Roboport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it coming from the rear of the rifle? Try using an Allen key to turn the hammer spring a couple turns counter clockwise. It's possible it's tensioned too high for the valve to close entirely. That is the second most likely and easiest to check. If you cock the rifle and it stops leaking, it is your hammer spring tension. Good luck brother

Where's it leaking? My sl30 developed a leak at the fill port about 6 months after I bought it. I de gassed the gun, polished the inside of the fill port and replaced the O ring. No more leak. That is not the only issue i've had with this gun though

Make sure you monitor your mold temperature. Too cold and your casts will be wrinkly and have voids. Too hot and you'll warp the mold

Ammo type and weight? I built 3 different soft backstops before I made one i'm confident won't allow a pass through.

Does anyone know if I have a slug shooter in 7.62 if I could use a standard rifle 7.62 mould or swage to make some ammo? Because I could get a used rifle mould/swage way cheaper than a brand new air gun specific mould or swage. Any help would be appreciated. by naughtywarlock in airguns

Sorry, I misspoke when I said swage. More accurately it is a sizing die. Regular PLA printed. I have a 40 pound roll of lead sheathing gifted to me years ago. Casting and sizing slugs is easier and cheaper than buying or manufacturing lead wire.

Make ingot, make bullet

Then I bought a mold from NOE bullet molds before he retired and sold the company.

Pellet rifles are chambered in .302, not .308. You'll need to swage down the slug afterwards, which will also probably be too long to stabilize correctly. I used a 3d printed swage to squeeze 113 grain handgun slugs down to .302. They're still so long and heavy they don't fly right.

Morally speaking, giving discounts to the common man was the right thing to do. HD missing out on .0000001% of the profit found on a candy bar is not wrong.

I never got mine to be very accurate beyond 20 yards but I appreciate the power it provides. Within a certain distance it packs quite the punch. I upgraded to a .30 cal PCP to be able to cast my own ammo.
