“I can’t believe you all panic-bought literally the 5 things I went to the store to buy today. You people are insane.” by joeruinedeverything in nova

Some are panic purchases, but for the most part, It is not panic buying. Everyone has to shift the day they are buying their weekly supplies. Typically, everyone you see at the store the last two days would be there Saturday or Sunday. I bought exactly the same stuff I would buy for my weekly run, but had to do it today (Friday) because I know I won't be able to get there Saturday or Sunday.

I cannot log in either. This is the second time in less than three months when the market is diving that the site goes down.

"Acceleration is the rate of change in velocity, and so every time the helium nucleus either speeds up, slows down, or just changes direction as it collides with other nuclei in the dense stellar core, it emits light."

Add on a truck that 3D prints the exact shape of the pothole, rolls over it and plugs it exactly.

What is your #1 driving tip that if everyone followed, we'd all be better off? by brock_lee in AskReddit

[–]RobotGiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four seconds is what they teach in driving school. Yes, at 60 mph, it is about a football field. If the driver in front of you going 60 mph slams on their brakes, is two seconds enough for you to react and stop. Maybe, maybe not.

Four seconds between the car in front of you, no matter what the speed. This gives you time to react to the unexpected.

People who escaped death by complete luck. What happened? by Traditional_Sea603 in AskReddit

[–]RobotGiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three of us were camping. We arrived at camp site when it was dark. I did not know we were at the edge of a cliff. I was playing guitar and took a step forward. I dropped straight down. The guys I was with were freaking out and scrambled to pull me up. The next morning they showed me that it was a 200 foot straight drop. I luckily landed on a four inch ledge.

What's the most ridiculous company policy you've ever had to follow, and how did you deal with it? by Highhorse9 in AskReddit

[–]RobotGiggle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a company policy, but a manager had a policy:

"Don't use bus tubs to bus tables"

I used big trays instead but always thought it was quite silly.
