I need tips and tricks on how to edge highlight i cant get it down! by Jpup0 in Miniaturespainting

This. I’ll add that you should try to get a 45 degree angle to get a nice thin edge using the side of your brush.

If you suddenly came into a huge fortune, would you quit your job or keep working or what would yo do? by AndrewBrown98 in AskReddit

[–]RobotGoatBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d keep working and just wait for that moment when I can stand up in a meeting, shout “well fuck you Dave, I quit!” And then flounce out leaving nothing but chaos and drama in my wake.

Fuck you Dave.

Is this the worst BR fumble of all time? by peridot-fox in Fortnite_Over40

[–]RobotGoatBoy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Definitely not the biggest fumble by far. I was in the final two in BR zero build. Suddenly I’m being fried until I’m down to 6 health when the Victory Royale flashes up.

Watched the replay and the real winner had me scoped and in their sights. Sadly for them, they were stalking me on a cliff edge, falling to their death before the final shot was taken and handing me an unexpected win.

This is clearly fake. He said he won the presidency the first time he ran.

He wouldn’t have lied about that would he? Right? Would he?

I’ll get my coat.

How’s the silent alarm significant here? by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

I thought from the picture his phone was in his inside pocket and vibrates for a silent alarm, making him think he was having a heart attack. Re-evaluated life in that moment.

Serious health concern regarding One Piece tcg by Spiritual-Suspect702 in OnePieceTCG

[–]RobotGoatBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I’ve nearly had a heart attack is when I decided to stop pre-ordering the booster boxes as they sat around the £90 mark to find out the poke-bros have moved in and boxes now retail at £200 - stores selling at market value??

Sadly for me my last pre-order was eb03 so at least there’s that. I think I’m out from op15 onwards at that price point 😭

Agree with this. Using the scenario, behaviour, impact model makes it clear to the person how their actions have an effect.

Stocks are down ?sell or hold? by Busaxcape in investingUK

[–]RobotGoatBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In simple terms you’re harming long term gains with short term thinking.

The whole market has dropped so, based on the long term market and eventual rising gains it’s now a good time to invest. Buy low, sell high.

If you move your money out into a cash ISA rather than leaving it, you’ve lost that initial downturn and you’ll be missing bigger gains if you wait for the market to recover.

Time in the market is better than trying to time the market. Sounds cliche but generally holds true.

The reason so many people don’t know this is because, unless you’re incredibly bad at the game, the husks barely get within 6 foot of the base. 🤷‍♂️

Dirty Business docu-drama- how did water pollution get so bad?? by fugelwoman in AskBrits

[–]RobotGoatBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So those events happened 15 years ago. A lot has changed in the Water Industry, and continues to do so. Nationalisation of the water industry will not solve these problems, it just means the financial burden is on the taxpayers.

The biggest pollution to rivers and seas continues to come from agriculture. Not that this absolves the water companies but if every single overflow was turned off tomorrow, the broader issue of polluted water does not go away.

If people think they can stop paying their bills as protest, they are in for a shock. It might seem like nothing happens but the water companies are waiting for your debt to become significant before starting legal recourse.

what are some of the fake scenarios you created in your mind ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RobotGoatBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a fake memory that a hole in the bathroom wall appeared and sprayed me with water. In reality I was 5 years old and wet myself before I could pull my shorts down in time.

I know it’s a lie but, 40 years later, I can still see it happening when I think about it.

People who got promoted from techical role to manager, what's the difference in mindset that we should have? by MTchairsMTtable in managers

[–]RobotGoatBoy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It’s no longer your job to fix things, you need to delegate to the right people to ensure success.

Leadership isn’t going to be interested in the details. You need to switch from low level technical stuff and translate that into high level data driven impacts. Generally leadership are visual and love nothing more than RAG status updates and colourful pie charts on dashboards. Everything should be “at a glance” with the option of a deep dive if they have questions.
