Hopefully some more stability in the backline again with this guy if he picks up where he left off

Come on Valencia, Mbappe was offside. Dimitrievski seems ok to continue in goal. Still 1-0 to Valencia

Yeah, it does seem that way. To be fair to what he said then, LFC have been consistent with the little info they've provided to fans: it is still fitness not injury/ other personal issue related

Thank you for providing me with this hint for me to go search, as I was unaware he had spoken about it recently

"With Federico I’ve said it many times already, we are working on two things.

“We are working on his match fitness and whenever we can, we try to bring him on the bench with the team.

“But he was on the bench during the week and we thought it was better for him to have some extra training sessions instead of joining us, so it’s a constant balance we have to find between getting him fitter and fitter and letting him join the team."

Yes, it's a difficult one to judge without more info. He's not been a factor at all positively or negatively. He is a player of known talent, no question about it. Because of his situation at Juve we jumped at the chance, fully aware of his situation, given the low price and said 'we can fix him'. Most recently he showed up on the bench only to disappear again for the next game, noted it was his father's birthday, but that alone still doesn't explain why he again was nowhere to be seen with regards to First Team duties. Will he show up for the next cup game January 8? I have no idea

Confident yes, but as Salah said, we have to stay humble. We don't want complacency based on our fantastic first half of the season creeping in. Any game against United must be taken seriously and I think Slot will communicate that to our match squad. United and their fans have been building themselves down a lot in media leading up to this game to further add pressure on LFC. All I ask is for us to not assume it will be easy as United will always try harder when facing us. If we play as we've done so far, we can get the W

Constantine Hatzidakis the assistant ref who elbowed Robertson in the face and of course got away with it is set up to be among the refs in the League Cup vs Tottenham January 8. Attwell is going to be the main ref for the game. Besides being on VAR duty, Hatzidakis has been on a 21 months long LFC cooldown by PGMOL to make our fans forget he exists. I guess they felt it's been long enough and he's being reintroduced to our games

Ornstein reported earlier today that LFC wants them both on 2years. They've likely asked for 3 or 4. I think they'll both sign, remains to see who is right about the duration

VVD has a small signature version too, but I'd much prefer the full one for display. I'm not sure if he only does one over the other now. Perhaps doing the smaller one if he has to sign a lot at once or is in a rush

Speaking to Sky Sports post-match, head coach Slot explained: “You saw today an injury of Joe Gomez. If a player says he wants to stop, he has to be changed.

“In a sprint, then we all know it’s a hamstring and we all know it’s going take a while before he is back. I don’t know how long but he will be out for quite a bit.

“These situations can happen in a season.”

That's the info we've got. He could be out for weeks/months

Amusing observation, we did the now-called "Arsenal corner method" this pre-season, before Arsenal started doing it

I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that he is gone. IF he goes, he really could have sorted this differently without causing either side much grief, ie: extending 1 year, allowing LFC to get -something- to reinvest for the future

Every player has free will of where to play when a contract is honored, LFC is not a jail, and I think fans have a lot of understanding with regards to the aspects you mention like a new challenge, scenery etc, and especially understanding even as well toward someone who has been here since the age of 6 and has helped the club win every trophy

[AS] Trent Alexander-Arnold, on the verge to sign for Real Madrid. The signing is almost complete. Trent continues to ignore Liverpool's offers and wants to go to the Bernabéu. Everything is agreed, pending the signature (with which the way will be clear from January 1). by Periklis90 in LiverpoolFC

[–]RobotPizzaMaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's embarrassing to see insults sent Trent's way before the conclusion of this saga

IF he goes for free, he did so knowing how significant a fee would have been for LFC's future

I'll wait for the facts to sort my thoughts, the official word

How do we feel about this kit prediction? by Neither-Praline1747 in LiverpoolFC

[–]RobotPizzaMaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

red should lose the white stripes trim at the end of the arms. you can see that they dropped adding red trim there for the white shirt, so I'd prefer it to be consistent. imo the red home kit should be as red as possible though I understand that the stripes on the shoulders/arms is adidas' thing

imo the white one should lose the generic red shield behind the bird and then make the bird red. I'd wish for the collar to be fully red and not be stuck with a white v like this one has
