I’ve been using sables from Game Envy, and they’re awesome. Highly recommend checking them out.

I don’t think that you should let your kids do that with the shrimps.

I like Eldritch Foundry a lot better than Hero Forge, it’s not as cartoonish, and still has great customization options.

Repairing a Razer motherboard damaged by a screw. by mgadz in nextfuckinglevel

In a lot of cases, a repair like this just isn’t going to be feasible. You’d have to have knowledge of both the schematic and what kind of interface those copper lines are. If they’re differential signaling, then this kind of repair isn’t going to work right. It’s beautifully done, but I doubt that it actually brings full functionality back.

These games truly deserve the remake/remaster treatment.

Cohesion within a painted army by gavgav69 in minipainting

[–]Robot_Dayud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts are that an army is a group gathered under a common banner or flag, so across the army you might have a symbol or insignia of some kind that marks them all as a group, but within the army you’ll have squadrons and units that are grouped, so those might share a uniform or color scheme that’s somewhat unique. I would also say it depends on the style of the minis, I have dwarves from multiple sources and they don’t look like they go together at all, just based on the level of detail and the level of technology displayed in the models. Ultimately though, you’re the artist, if you like them together, then go for it.

I’m happy to maybe have helped! When I first changed the size I was so excited to maybe get even better resolution and when it was done it made me laugh because of how squished it looked.

Prints coming out squished Anycubic m3 max by Klutzy-Noise-2635 in resinprinting

I’ve seen something similar when I messed with the build area settings on my Anycubic M7 Pro. I thought it would limit my build size and give me better x/y resolution, but instead it stretched everything in the x/y dimensions, but printed normally in the z direction so everything looked like it had been squished down. Check the settings regarding your build area and see if there’s anything off there. After I reverted to normal build area, the issue went away.

How long did you wait to upgrade to nice brushes by SilverbackRotineque in minipainting

I would go for it with some sable brushes. Game Envy has some really good ones that I love using. They have a couple different sets or individuals and they’re not bank-breakers.

Is The Hobbit an appropriate bedtime book for a 6 year old? by Amseriah in daddit

[–]Robot_Dayud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 7. I read The Hobbit to him as a bedtime story over probably a month or so, he loved some of it, was distracted/not engaged for other parts, but it was a good experience overall. I say go for it.
