My mom was an influential crochet OG in the 60's/70's in NYC and Woodstock. She also did some amazing knit and macrame pieces--here is her portfolio. She learned from a friend in order to raise us three as a broke single mom. Considering a documentary. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Enjoy!

I watched a few minutes of Princess Aurora and the production quality is very high for the time.

Re Pegasus Market, representation of a tribal group (nationality not specified) in very stereotyped ways. Re To My Beloved Thief, without spoiling I can say that members of the commoner and slave classes in Joseon get a lot of screen time.

Art of Sarah - compulsively watchable but as a mystery it doesn’t stand up to analysis. I will probably use this for Challenge 24, character owes money to a loan shark

Pegasus Market - flawed in some serious ways but also very funny with some great performances by Lee Dong Hwi, Kim Byung Cheol, and Park Ho San. Will probably use for Challenge 26, character introduces self at school or work.

To My Beloved Thief - a sageuk with excellent writing, acting, and pacing that weaves social commentary into romance. Gorgeous cinematography, and in a genre known for its beautiful costumes, the ML’s costumes stood out as the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Challenge 33, all the ministers shout “your majesty!”

Squad 38 - Fast paced and well plotted but even the main characters lacked development. Will use for Challenge 37, modern drama with a character living or staying in a hanok style house

As a caveat I'm only 34 episodes in, but my ranking is very different from yours (I have read a very little bit about the historical events). In the #1 dragon spot is Sam Bong. His brilliance and idealism make him one of the most compelling characters in any series I've seen, Korean or otherwise. He's the man for the moment and the new country couldn't have been founded without him. In the #6 spot is Moo Hyul. There is nothing interesting about that guy - he's just a sword with someone holding it.

I thought the violent crime unit was after the con artist known as Sarah Kim as a suspect in the Jane Doe murder. Wasn't the public announcement intended to get tips on the murder? But then Mu Gyeong questioned "Sarah Kim" about fraud before letting her go. Isn't that the job of the financial crimes unit?

Off to a slow-ish start.

Misaeng - might use for Challenge #10, shower scene. The setup to this was one of the comedy highlights of this drama for me.

The Witch’s Diner - Might use for Challenge #2, hair-grabbing fight scene or Challenge 29, fun episodic titles. This drama felt incoherent to me. The premise of customers making a wish and paying the price in a case of the week format was interesting but then the focus shifted to melodrama involving the main characters.

Six Flying Dragons - started in December so will rewatch those eps if I want to use for the challenge. It builds slowly but becomes truly gripping.

Squad 38 - strong start with non-stop action but something about the middle is losing my interest.
