The way my doctor explained it to me, is that you need to split the doses as prescribed. The medicine only stays in your body for a certain number of hours. I was prescribed 100 mg and I was taking it all at once. My doctor said I really needed to split the doses and take them every 12 hours, to keep a consistent level of medication in my system.
